Today’s Birfday treat is extra-special…mariachi versions of some of your favorite metal tunes by Metalachi!
(Don’t think there’s a way to embed the audio.)
I’ve only listened to “The Immigrant Song” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine” so far, but I think they’ve done a pretty good job. Also, the band bios are a bit profane but amusing.
Teh donut cake actually looks kinda good to me…probably ’cause of the chocolate icing.
On a related note, I don’t get the culinary appeal of cheeseburgers on Krispy Kreme glazed donuts for buns. AFAIC, those are two great tastes that don’t go great together. (Not that I’d know; I haven’t ever had a Krispy Kreme donut.)
Thanks for covering the Wheel. I was really stretched. Elena had a knee replacement the week after I had my heart attack and I have been caring for her. I am really exhausted but we seem to be over the worst now and she is doing much better.
Both you guys going through physical therapy at the same time is going to be loads of fun. And by fun, I mean not so fun… Just make sure you don’t do more than your therapist tells you. Overwork is worse than disappointing yourself.
Elena is doing the PT three times a week. I don’t like PT and have not done it myself. I have been too busy to even see a general practitioner so far, though I was supposed to do that right away. Now that she is doing better I need to get on that, especially with the diabetes. I did follow up with the heart doctor. He seems quite good and is very realistic about what is needed and possible without insurance. I am quite pleased with him.
I don’t have a Doctor and am not looking forward to looking for one.
The only time I tried physical therapy was about 40 years ago when I shattered my arm and screwed up my neck. The one session messed up my neck so bad it set me back almost two weeks. Never again.
Last year my partner, Titan, came to Texas to give a talk at Lincoln Tech and I went to see him. This is a segment of his last show from this week. I was not expecting to be on the show or I would have dressed better. I am a bit startled at what I look and sound like. I will NOT be going into show business. He visits many schools and trade colleges. He has also set up shops in prisons, most recently in San Quentin, to teach the trade to convicts and try to reach them. He is very good at it and is in much demand by parole officers to reach out to at risk kids. It was interesting to see how well he did with these young people. He is not a polished speaker but does very well.
TGIF, GN!
Happy V/VII to TeX and 7/seven to Sven!

Good morning,
A friend is a big fan of Metalachi. For me, after a song or two the novelty wears off, but they are quite unique.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation and Chag Sameach!
Happy birthday, 5 of sieben, och siete of sept, TeX and Sven!
Today I got you a doughnut cake, because a bacon cake just doesn’t look appetizing.
Fatwa -- I love the reactions of the onlookers!
Hai, Sven and Paddy!

Wow, a slow day on teh wheel. Hope everybody is OK.
I’m doing fine, but maybe I won’t be tomorrow. Crazy me, I’m doing this stuff again!
Quite a ride, Joe! You are in great shape.

Thanks to all for the prayers and good wishes.
Oh, you’re welcome.

Nice, Mac. Still the man in black!
Heh! Always.
I feel like I need an extra insulin shot just looking at that cake.
Mac -- star of stage and screen!
I prefer the hermit life.
