Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
Mac -- that is an amazing demonstration of engineering and construction.
The head cold is slowly getting better. Hopefully my voice will be back in shape by Monday when I have to start calling families about the start of school.
Thank you, Paddy. We are doing OK. I started a new med last week because of the chest pains I have had. The first side effect listed was headache while the body adjusts but that is easing up now so I hope that will soon be gone. The heart doctor did not want me to take it if my BP was 90 or below so I got a test rig. It has been interesting to learn to use them. I got one of the automatic machines for convenience but I wanted an old style cuff to check it with. At first I got a range of readings from thew machine as it was sensitive to cuff tension, but I have learned to use it better and the readings are now much more consistent and match the manual cuff which has always been more consistent.
One thing that has come up is that while my BP is what I expected, usually 116/65 to 120/70, Elena’s have been high. I think we will want to look at that. It is hard to know because the shape of her arm makes it hard to fit a cuff to. She has a wrist unit they got for her mother she is using and she is learning to get better readings from it but it still varies too much to trust.
At least the new med has indeed reduced the chest pains. My blood sugar seems to be mostly at normal levels and in fact I check it more now out of concern about dropping too low than too high, though adjusting my rating habits and timing seem to have that in hand.
Hi Sven, I couldn’t resist the tank giff. The BT-7 was killed in large numbers by the Germans but it was quite advanced and was made right through WW2. It introduced many of the advanced features and components that made the T-34 medium tank such a game changer. I think it was one of the tanks used by Zhukov to punish and smash the Japanese before the war, in an early and almost perfect demonstration of Blitzkrieg. It was just too lightly armed and armored to replace medium tanks.
Caturday salutations, Wheelizens!
That tank GIF’s pretty amazing, Mac. I’d expect that was a teeth-rattling ride as well as a white-knuckler for the driver.
Was sorry to read about Mike Vanderboegh’s passing; I know he’d been preparing for a while. He and his blog did some fine work.
Need. Moar. Coffee.

Ah, the coffee is ready. Time to pour a cuppa.
Paddy, I hope you recover quickly. This cold came at a real bad time.
How are you doing, Mac? How’s Elena?
Pretty cool thread pic and good afternoon, GN!
Healing thought for Paddy’s head and hoping that Mac and Elena are doing well and that Miss Brenda ain’t working poor Fatwa too hard on a Saturday.

I really can’t complain, we are both doing well.

I’m sure nothing could go amiss here:
