Read earlier that Atlanta’s trouble-plagued and carptastic new streetcar continues to fail. Earlier this year, when they started charging $1.00 (it began as a freebie last year to promote ridership), patronage plummeted. And during peak tourist season, ridership was down 67% over last year.
Further, based upon year-to-date, the system probably will take in less than 20% of what it costs to keep it running. Showing yet again how wonderful government is…and why we need lots moar of it.
A government project costing more than anticipated and bringing in less than projected? I’m shocked!
A few communities in my neck of the woods also want to put in streetcars. The opposition says why not buses? I’ve never heard an answer to that objection. If one were conspiracy minded, one might think that someone was getting a little something on the side.
As you are no doubt aware, buses are cheaper and far more flexible than light rail. Which is not okay, as the private sector’s sole purpose for existing is to support government and its cronies.
Thursday salutations, Wheelizens!

This amused me:
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
Pew/No Pew/Pew Pew Pew

Hai, Paddy!

Why do you hate tax leeches, Paddy? 👿
A nude statue of Trump appeared in NYC’s Union Square:
Warning: NSFW!!
(Somebody should do one of Hillary just for the howls of “sexism” and “body shaming”.)
Update: Copies of the statue also showed-up in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and Cleveland today.
Haven’t the citizens of Cleveland suffered enough?
They could put the statues side-by-side.
Nuke.
