I imagine that next week is going to be bigly busy, Fatwa. The storm dropped about 2 inches over the night, but is now moving through and heading to points south. A little bit of a break and then more tonight and most of Friday. And then more Sunday.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Mac, and Sven!
We’ve had rain off and on all night, but it’s been slow enough to allow things to soak in. Of course all this rain has been causing our expansive clay soils to do their thing, shifting things into positions they haven’t been in for years. One of our side gates that normally closes with about 1/2 inch clearance is now about 1 inch too wide at the top.
No apology necessary; not your fault that my pop cultural ignorance approaches U No Hoo-levels. (Because I’ve not seen any of the movies you mentioned…)

Hope you don’t have any rain-related problems anywhere near teh Mountain Redoubt.
Paddy --
Do you reckon the gate will close properly after the ground dries-out a bit?
Cali --
Hee! And heh!
I’ve got one tab open to SoCal weather; Jim and the crew are trying to get some repairs done today. We’re hoping the forecast clear weather on Saturday comes to pass so we can get some more done.
I’m almost caught-up on paperwork; got two fairly simple proposals to do and then I think I’m good. Gonna go for a fast walk around the neighborhood to let my eyes rest and my azz decompress. 😉

It should. As the moisture moves deeper into the soil, the top layers should dry a bit, moving things back into place. We normally go through this about twice a year, but the drought years have been different.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, GN!
Those are unfortunate markings on teh thread kitteh, Mac. I sort of recognize the dude in the inset but can’t be arsed to figure out who it is…meh.
Wonder what chaos Obama will sow today as part of his final “fuck you!” to America.
Hope the SoCal contingent -- and anybody else who may be getting a lot of rain -- stay safe.
Glad I’m just about caught-up on roofing-related paperwork as I expect next week might be sort o’ busy. 👿
BBL.
Sorry about that, Fatwa. That’s Steve Buscemi.

Fargo, Con Air, Armageddon, and so many more.
Con Air is a great movie--it’s almost up there in Die Hard heights.

Good.
One more night of Obama as POTUS. Thank God.
I love what Ace is doing, replaying election night. We should do that every year.
Every.
Year.
