Australian authorities said Friday that a man intentionally plowed his car into pedestrians in a mall in Melbourne during lunch hour, killing at least three and injuring at least 20, but said terrorism was not a factor.
The 26-year-old driver of the maroon-colored car was described by witnesses as appearing Middle Eastern. One tourist told Melbourne’s Herald-Sun newspaper that Arabic music was blaring from the car.
Reuters reported that authorities had hit the vehicle, shooting the driver in the arm before pulling the man out of the car and making the arrest. Officials reportedly said that prior to the incident the suspect was wanted for a stabbing that occurred earlier on Friday.
Must’ve been upset about global warmening or something.
The suspect in the Melbourne car attack has been named as Greek Australian Dimitrious Gargasoulas who has called himself an “Islamic” who “knows how to take you dogs down”.
Happy Inauguration Day, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- I LOL’d!
Fatwa -- of course this has nothing to do with terrorism, you Islamaphobe!
Mrs. Paddy made Jerry’s Famous Cincinnati Chili last night -- it was perfect for the weather we’ve been having.
I’ve been amazed by the total melt-down I’ve seen happening among friends and acquaintances on the Left. It makes absolutely no sense and has no basis in reality. People I thought were rational have truly bought into the media-driven hype at levels that I would never have thought possible.
The reactions to eight years of fawning media coverage of Obama coupled with non-stop, cartoonish villification of the GOP -- and Trump in particular -- for that same period duly demonstrate just how superficial most Americans’ grasp of politics really is.
Too many political ignoramuses vote, which is a big part of why our leadership at all levels keeps getting worse and worse.
Hey…it just occurred to me that I can now criticize the president and not be accused of racism; woooo! (A likely exception being the small but loud contingent of Hebe-hating alt-righters who think us nefarious, conniving, sneaky Joooos are a separate race.)
Mixed feelings this morning. The road the country was on was taking us in the wrong direction. If Clinton had won, we’d have stayed on that road and likely Hillary! would have stamped on the accelerator.
Trump is no Conservative, but he is choosing a different route. Where that one takes us as a country, I have no idea. On the plus side, all of the right people hate his guts, which makes me want to give him a chance. Maybe Trump is the transition POTUS and the next one will be Conservative?
Interesting that the cable and network MSM are giving the protests and violence zero coverage. All those folks that clutched their pearls and wondered about how to explain to their children that the POTUS uses bad language: what will they tell their precious kids tomorrow when thousands of women descend on DC wearing their Pussy Hats?
“Mom, what’s a Pussy Hat? It doesnt look anything at all like a kitty…”
“Trump’s officially been sworn in. The world hasn’t ended. Minorities aren’t being marched off to extermination camps. Women are not required to be either barefoot and pregnant or sexy and available. Putin hasn’t moved into the White House. And, poor CNN is disappointed in its embarrassingly obvious hopes that someone would murder Trump before the swearing in so that Obama could … appoint the next president or something like that.”
The rain finally stopped here about an hour ago and now the winds are kicking up. We get tomorrow more or less dry, and then the big storm hits Sunday morning.
Been a very long time since we’ve had this much rain. So far, the hills around here are holding up. A couple of oak trees lost on our street, but that’s been it so far.
Happy Inauguration Day, Wheelizens!
Today we enter a new chapter in American history; hope the incoming administration winds-up being a significant improvement over the outgoing one.
(I’ve given up ever seeing a President who fully embraces the Constitution in my lifetime. SAD!)

Pull the other one, mate.
The Religion of Peace at it again.
Good morning and welcome to THE END OF THE WORLD coming to you live from Washington DC.

But it’s going to happen any minute now!!!!11!!! I just know it!
I see that many little shits in D.C. are breaking windows, setting cars on fire, etc.
Why is this occurring with all the security forces (allegedly) present; did someone tell them to stand down re property damage? WTF?
