I’ve been doing roofing-related stuff since about 6:30 local time; reckon I’ll be fairly busy at least through the end of this week.
Mostly repair-type stuff, which is a bit of a grind. However, it keeps existing clients happy, provides work for the crew and we’re getting our foot in the door with some new -- to us -- HOAs.
I’d expect we’ll get some more significant opportunities after things settle down, as well.
Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
My boss announced yesterday morning that she’s leaving at the end of next week. Her workload will get split between two other people until they bring someone on board. Who knows if they’ll promote someone -- which would put more work on the rest of us (we’re already short-handed) -- or they’ll bring in someone new -- which means waiting until they get up to speed before they’re of any use. Fun times.
It’s a schizophrenic mix of teaching, counseling, and administrative tasks. The school is still trying to figure out “how” to do what they do and are losing some of what draws students to them -- the ability to work at your own pace and on your own schedule. The pay is probably 60% of what is available at a traditional school, but offers a lot of flexibility, or at least they used to.
Happy Hump Day, Gerbiliños!
Since I’m not familiar with GoT, I presume that Lyanna is pretty badass. (It was the “made Chuck Norris retire” which tipped me off.) 😉
BBL.
I liked “…can see John Cena.” That’s funny. Hi, GN!
Hi, Fatwa! Hope the recent SoCal weather is still keeping you busy.
Heya, Sven!

You’ve been doing this job for a while now, Paddy. What do you think of it?

Hai, Paddy!
Hope you’re not one of the workload splittees…unless they’re also going to add 50% of your soon-to-be-former boss’ salary to your paycheck. 😉
Gonna go for a walk to let my eyes uncross and take advantage of the last pleasant weather for the next ten days.
No -- I won’t be one of the splittees. That will fall on people who hold the same position as my boss.
Thank G-d for messages from my chosen family!
Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit! I am SO sorry to hear what happened and I’m SO relieved you’re still with us.
Prayers for you and BW. And all the rest o’ y’all, asked for or not.
