I see the Great SoCal Deluge is in-progress; hope the local contingent stays safe and dry.
And in our local news, the attempted armed robber of a liquor store is now an ex-goblin due to an armed clerk who was not hit by any of the five shots fired by said goblin (video at the link):
These Mongolian ladies didn’t accompany their ground horse meat with an official government horsemeat certification. Instead, their ground horse meat was accompanied by 13 pounds of horse genitalia.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- be safe out there! We won’t get any rain until late this morning, with the worst expected to hit during evening commute, but the winds have sure picked up.
Fatwa -- Customs Inspector -- “Can I see your horsemeat certificate?”
Mongolian Ladies -- “We don’t need no steenkin’ certificate!”
CI -- “You’ve got a lot of balls trying to sneak that in here!”
ML -- “Who told?”
Wooooweeeee! Cut out of work early--what a mess. Freeways flooded, streets flooded, trees down, accidents galore, strong wind gusts. Lot of mud and rain runoff in our area, but not a lot of damage that I can see. The trees across the street seem to be staying put. For now.
I havent seen rain like this since I was in Texas! Batten down the hatches, Paddy.
The commercial building across the street from teh bestest place ever seemed to be experiencing a roofing failure: 6-8 guys up on top laying out tarps and standing around.
The winds are supposed to pick up right about now--60 mph gusts. Just did a walkaround and cleared some debris and opened up the drains.
No serious problems yet, Fatwa. And my dues are all paid up with ZOG so I’m not expecting any problems, either.
My payments go directly to Brenda, Fatwa. Oh. Wait.
Yeah the winds have been strong. Tapered off, but they are threatening to reappear later tonight. Mrs Sven checked with the neighbor down the hill. The water from the main runoff is now going over the road and through her yard. That’s not good.
I’m looking at the radar and I dont think San Diego is going to get hit very hard. Its not raining yet and the big orange radar blob is a bit north of us. We got some high winds but I think it will just be a little wet here in the Whale’s Vagina.
It’s Friday…teh yay!!

Hi Fatwa and good morning GN!
Rain is coming down now in Ventura County--not heavy yet, but steady. Our first big blast is scheduled for around 9:00. Should be a fun day.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!

Just talked to Jim; he said Fallbrook Avenue looked like a river.
Glad you’re not seeing any serious problems near teh Redoubt, Sven; hope it stays that way.
*poo-t*

If that building has a flat roof, the tarps will do two things: jack and shit.
60 mph gusts? Wow…that’s not reflected on Weather Underground; been keeping a tab open there all day.
I sure wish you’d made that ZOG payment through me. 👿

High winds and light, horizontal rain at the moment, but radar shows we’re about to get slammed.
Hope you all stay safe and dry, Mr. O’.

Whoops! I might have spoken too soon. The Whale’s Vagina is getting pounded right now!! Tarnation!
The whale’s vagina is getting pounded….?
[Insert “blowhole” joke here]
Maaaaaan…I’m beat; my last rain-related call was at about 7:00 PST (and I’ve been up since 5:30 local time).
Think it’s just about time to head upstairs with a book.
Buh.
