Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
Not gonna say hi to the snake -- not until he gets a better attitude.
So today is the first day back at work, and as usual the conversations on email and skype started at least 30 minutes before the start of the work day. Four more co-workers have resigned and the powers-that-be have re-arranged the deck chairs. At the end of May I applied for two positions -- the one directly above me, and the one above that. I interviewed for the position two places above, but did not get the job. I never heard about the other position. I emailed the director of special ed asking if I was still under consideration, but never got a reply. No I know why -- they’ve eliminated that position in the deck chair re-arranging. Special Ed will now be part of the General Ed structure.
None of the people I report to have any connection to, or experience in Special Education. They don’t know the law, procedures, timelines, or what we even do. One of the new tasks of the position I interviewed for (which will no longer be in my chain of command) will be to provide support to my new bosses in the area of Special Ed. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Thanks, Sven. I spent the entire day in meetings and online training, with emails and IM’s to break things up. There was very, very, very little in the meetings that had anything to do with what I do, or how I will do it. All the information pertinent to my position will be available beginning Thursday.
96°F with 75% humidity. We got the severe thunderstorm warning, plus the flash flood warning. When the storm moved through, the winds whipped up, the temp dropped to the upper 80’s, and we got some rain.
I know that’s some domestic political figure in teh thread GIF; simply can’t sort-out which one it is. 👿
Ugh. Not something to wake up to and look at first thing in the morning!
Hi, Fatwa.
Hai, Sven!
Here’s a pic to clear your ocular palate:
