I suppose I ought to look for a free image hosting site one of these days. Especially since we can’t load them into comments any more. (Which is not a complaint; I sure do appreciate Jerry keeping this place spinning. Hope he’s well…)
Talked to a friend in Santa Rosa CA last night. He’s safe and his apartment building is still standing, but his mother and two brothers all lost their homes. This is the worst fire I’ve seen in CA -- completely out of control.
We’ve been lucky down here so far -- have to see what happens when the Santa Ana winds kick up later in the month.
Very sorry to read about your friend’s family losing their homes; that seriously sucks.
My brother’s wife went to NorCal (where she grew up) last week to collect her Mom, who will be moving to a facility in Cleveland. All around ugly situation; gotta give my SiL and brother credit for stepping up to the plate. (Frankly, the woman is a major PITA.)
They had to evacuate a couple of days ago; the house is still standing but all of loading of possessions to be moved as well as air travel has, of course, been delayed. Additionally, SiL is not getting much assistance from her step-siblings out there.
Hope that the Santa Ana conditions this year aren’t too severe in SoCal.
Also amused by the Weinstein scandal; particularly the tortured posturing of celebrities. The naked partisan hackery and squirming of our “betters” is a schadedenfreude-fest. 👿
And I think this is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg re Hollywood sex scandals
Another Red Flag warning headed our way starting tomorrow. Doesn’t look anywhere near as bad as what Northern CA is getting for the next couple of days. On the plus side, California is now a sanctuary state and we are criminalizing bad grammar.
I keep seeing the name Rose McGowan all over the Weinstein story -- I have no idea who she is…ah: an actress. Charmed -- man, that was a great series. Snort.
G’morning, Wheelizens!

Having a big laugh over the Hollywood-Weinstein scandals. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer industry.
Hai, Sven!

Busy Gerbils this morning! Please be safe.
Hai, Mac!

Poor Hollywood. Maybe women should demand that that big Hollywood sign up in the hills should be torn down.
