Reading the news has been tougher than usual today.
Those poor folks in Sutherland Springs; I’m having a difficult time processing that level of insanity evil. (Not to mention the instant politicizing of it.)
Thank goodness for good guys with guns; who knows what else Kelley might have done had he not been ended.
Also a bit stunned by the cowardly attack on Rand Paul; five broken ribs and only $7500 bond for the assailant?
And what a surprise the GOP tax bill is another screw-job; once again, I see no significant difference between the two major parties in Congress.
I say again: fuuuuuuuuuu…
BBL…assuming the local authorities don’t murder me in a wrong door, no-knock raid.
Forgot Anthony Weiner has to report to the federal pokey today.
(I’d make the obvious joke here save for the fact that I strongly believe that rape is one of the great shames of our penal prison system. Dayum, homonyms make it hard not to go there. Doh!!)
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
A rough start to the week, indeed. I believe hopelessness and despair are all part of the plans for the destruction of our society. Don’t let the bastards win.
Sorry. Photobucket just told me I have 30 days to upgrade or lose the ability to post third party images. I can’t afford $399.00 a year for this so I am trying other hosting sites. I already was paying for a premium account and before they said it would be good through next year but they changed their mind. What a pain. It looks like there are others I can use but all the images I have posted here, on Facebook, and on other forums will go away. I would not mind paying for one of the other premium accounts but it seems only the top one will allow posting images and that is really all I do with it. Pffftttt!
That sucks all the way ’round about Photobucket. Given that they’ve pulled underhanded stuff twice in the last few months, I wouldn’t trust them with my money.
Kindly keep us posted on how the new service works out.
Well, Dropbox and Flickr don’t seem to let me embed here, but TinyURL does. It seems to work but it is owned by Photobucket so I don’t know what to expect.
Thanks, Sven. I think this will work. I would not mind upgrading to one of the higher levels as I have been paying for it for some years and found it worth it but they just want too much. TinyURL is free and seems to work. The old images will be lost but I don’t think people go back anyway and the comments will still be there.
It probably costs Jerrie a lot more to host us and I feel bad he won’t let us help like Sinner did. I would chip in on that.
“A day after a gunman massacred parishioners in a small Texas church, the Air Force admitted on Monday that it had failed to enter the man’s domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that could have blocked him from buying the rifle he used to kill 26 people.”
So who’s going to jail? If a gun dealer had made a mistake similar to this, he’d be under arrest tonight. Govt? Well, sorry that happened. We’ll launch an investigation.
I’m sure that with some additional funding they can guarantee pinky swear that nothing like this will ever happen again.
In the near future.
Probably.
Hardly ever.
Often.
Hey! What do you expect? They’re only human!
It’s Monday; fuuuuuuuuuu…

It’s hard not to despair. God bless the men that took him down. And as Mac noted last night: let the blame games begin.

Well, if only I could figure out who the bastards are.
Hai, Sven and Paddy!
Rather than hopelessness and despair, I tend to get angry, which I think is at least marginally better.
Today, the lugenpresse* is using a shamefully edited video to imply that Trump behaved like a boor at a koi-feeding ceremony with Shinzo Abe.
He. Did. Not.
That kind of shit is literally out of the Hitler playbook.
I am just a little peeved that the American media is causing me to feel a bit of sympathy toward a POTUS I don’t much care for.

You’ve got to be fast to keep up with posts on Teh Wheel!
True! Teh Mad Gerbil thread guy is experimenting!
It’s alive!!

OK, what can we do to help? If it comes down to money, more than happy to pitch in.

Heck. I wish both of you would let us help out.
