Nice to see that both Jerry and Mr. Wadministrator stopped by yesterday; hope Jerry’s doing well. (FWIW, the site seemed to load faster this morning.)
Cheers to Sven and Paddy for updates last evening. I know that the fire situations are pretty fluid, but I’ve not been finding very good up-to-date info online from local news sources.
Getting accurate and timely information is becoming more and more difficult, Fatwa. The dramatic is overtaking the informative.
In our immediate area, we are OK. What today will bring is anyone’s guess. The winds have died down but are again expected to pick up in a few hours and continue on until at least Sunday now.
Glad to know that my search skillz are not the issue. 😉
The lack of info is weird, given all of our communications technology…along with the enormity -- and potential danger -- of the fires. Hope you, teh missus and the Redoubt all remain safe.
TGIF, GN!

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Lots of stories in the paper about the fires and their impacts, but the newspaper is not the place to look for up-to-date info.
In an AP story on the resignation of Al Franken and John Conyers, I found the following laughable line:
OMG!! That is almost too much to believe, even from today’s press. Oh wait, it’s AP. Never mind.
