Sorry things have been stressful, Fatwa -- here’s hoping the weekend turns you guys in another direction. I almost wrote “twirls” you in another direction, but then the enlightened part of my brain kicked in and reminded me that “twirling” can be a sexual harassment trigger and I edited the sentence correctly.
Winds are calm now, but supposed to pick up today or tomorrow. Mandatory evacuation orders yesterday for parts of Fillmore.
I’m glad Jim teh Roofer doesn’t need to provide bullshit “diversity” or “sexual harassment” training.
Jim’s bestest friend is a female tile contractor. Many years ago, her business was slow, so she decided she wanted to try learning how to apply the heat-welded system we nearly always use on flat roofs. (And keep some cash coming in.)
She’s a quick study, a hard worker and good people; the guys liked having her on the roof. A female crew member caused no problems because, 1) my cow-workers are fine lads, and 2) they were way too damned busy making sure that Jim’s friend didn’t out-produce them. 😉 (She’s legendary among the guys for going from zero to kick-ass on her first day…and never relenting.)
Must find something to support the TrumpHitlerRussia narrative!
Good one, Mac!
TGIF, Wheelizens!
Glad this week’s almost over; been a busy, stressful one for both of us.
BBL.
Good morning, GN!
Ditto on Fatwa’s comment, Mac. Nice.

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa-the-Stressed, and Sven!
Let me pile on with compliments on the thread-gif, Mac. Well played!
Here’s to a less-stressful weekend and upcoming week for CasaK.
Sven -- I see that company-mandated sexual harassment training is paying off.
Oops! I think references to pay-offs may be triggering.
Hai, Sven and Paddy!
Thanks for your wishes re stress, gentlemen.
