It was nice to sleep in my own bed last night; ditto having access to fairly premium “bath tissue” as opposed to 320 grit stuff. 👿
We’re so glad the kids found a rental house in a nice neighborhood with sufficient space for all five of them, their two big (and sweet) dogs, plus a friendly ~10-week old kitten they retrieved from a tree at their local Taco Bell (who gets along well -- and plays -- with teh puppies).
Compared with their place in Seattle, it’s significantly less expensive with way more room.
CorporateToolK gets to work from home this week, which is a) nice for both of us, and b) fortuitous since she picked up some bug from the children. (Will be making a Nyquil run to Walmart in a bit for both the day and night varieties as well as some comestibles.)
When Sven mentioned cats the other day I was laughing because I had already posted this. I post a week at a time from Thursday to Wednesday. Speaking of which I better get busy!.
I’m glad you had an enjoyable stay in Orlando (abrasive cleaning, notwithstanding) and a safe trip home. Sorry about the germs BrendaK picked up. Teh Younger looks at the cost of living in SoCal and dreams of moving back to Florida. Gotta get a job there, first.
The first day of decorating went well. One of the floats next to us in the building is Lucy Pet Foundation. Some of the dogs that will be riding the float were on-site yesterday (and probably will be for the rest of the week). I got to meet Sirius, a retired USMC Military Working Dog. He served three tours in Afghanistan, but he and his handler were hit by an IED. His handler, Sgt. Joshua Ashley, was killed in action, but Sirius survived and was adopted after retirement by Sgt. Ashley’s parents. He is the sweetest German Shepherd you’ll ever meet.
Your ThreadLad service is most appreciated; thank you.

I dunno…one of my grandpuppehs is a German Shepherd. (Granted, she’s got me wrapped around her dew claw; nonetheless…)
Glad Day 1 of decorating went well; may that be a harbinger.
Given the upcoming change to CA laws re recreational cannabis on 01/01/18, will they have any pot plants on the float? (Your sponsor’s products for tomatoes work very well for weed. Not that I have any personal knowledge of that which is well-past the statute of limitations or anything…)
G’day, GN!
#NotAllCats 😉
