I do have to give her credit for looking pretty smart compared with judges from two different States that shall remain unnamed because I don’t want to try and spell them this early. Her real nemesis has been herself. But for that she could be free and clear.
The fact that U No Hoo has been free to torment JG and others for a dozen years despite multiple arrests, convictions and incarceration show just how debased our legal system (masquerading as a “justice system”) is.
I no longer believe that can happen. The rulers have worked together to make too many people not just dependent on government but accepting of dependence on government, like people are not capable of living together without a police State running every aspect of their lives and benignly allowing them a crumb of privilege here and there as a treat if they behave. I think it just a matter of time as we slide down the slope. If there is a rising it will be put down, rushing the decline, or lead to worse as so many revolutions have, just allowing someone else to seize power, someone even more ruthless and brutal. I am glad I will not see it but I feel guilty for my generation allowing it to proceed as it has. We had a great legacy handed to us and traded it for beads and trinkets.
Just read that there is a growing problem of American pot being smuggled into Mexico. (Which doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.)
The quality of current domestic product vs. the Mexican “ditch weed” which was mostly what was available when I was a yout’ is amazing. Back then, one rarely came across the so-called “one hit shit”; now, that’s pretty much all one can find.
USA! USA! USA!
Wish the folks downtown would vote for liberty and legalize it here in GA…alas, waaaaay too many SoCons in the legislature at present.
Also, there are too many cops here who have a bullshit “certification” which allows them to magically glean that folks are under the influence, even when their blood tests come back completely clean. The ACLU is going after a couple of badged, armed and immunized goonyun scumbags in GA who have been particularly abusive of this spooky, mind-reading woo-woo.
I must point-out that these super-cops receive a handsome pay differential for their “training”; nice gravy train for them, and “FY, TW” to their innocent victims.
Even if the ACLU’s successful, that won’t fix the violation of people’s rights…but at least that fake science is getting some publicity.
I am afraid that will not get better as long as people look to police to “keep them safe”. When citizens decide they want someone else to take on their responsibilities to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities, a police state is inevitable. That or some strong man dictator are the only result possible. Freedom comes with responsibilities.
Don’t know that a police state is “inevitable”; we have a lot of actual combat vets who are armed and still take their oaths seriously. And they outnumber the cops by a large factor. Better-trained, too.
It also seems that more and more folks are questioning the whole premise of the War on Drugs People. Since that’s a huge driver of bad policy and the resulting “blue goonyun” activity, perhaps we’ll see a small positive effect.
Stupid Photobucket. They just offered a new service that allows 3rd party hosting for non-commercial use for $99.99 a year. This is four times what I was paying for my Plus 20 service but one fourth what they were wanting for 3rd party hosting so I went for it. My account was not switching so I contacted support. The guy took care of it right away. I had also mentioned I had not been able to upload video for months and I asked if that was part of their changeover. He said they no longer support video uploads, though you can still use ones you have. This ticks me off. In November I got a notice that if I did not upgrade my service in 30 days my account would revert to a free account. I knew the limits were much smaller so to protect some of the things I wanted to keep I deleted a large amount of stuff, including a folder with hundreds of video files. I was not worried as I keep all this on my PC and could re-upload it where ever I ended up. Nope! Can’t do it now and the change never happened. This really sounds like a government program to me!
Oh well, at least this solves the hosting problems for everything else. Tiny URL has been working OK but it is not as nice and being owned by Photobucket I expected it to change next. Hopefully this should solve things for a few years. I will miss using videos but I do have a few still and I will just have to look for something else. I did upload one video to You Tube but I don’t think that will really be practical. Just have to see. Meanwhile, let the CATS roll on!!!!
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, Fatwa, and Mac!
My, y’all have been quite chatty this Saturday!
I’m glad Mrs. Sven made it home safely -- sorry it wasn’t a good trip.
Going to try to do some cleaning and organizing in the garage today -- we’ll see how that works out.
Temps are expected to be near 80°F today -- upper 80’s tomorrow. Welcome to January in SoCal.
Jerry Brown, in his last State of the State address joked about the $6 billion cost overrun on the Bay Bridge that was only supposed to cost $1 billion. Easy to laugh it up when you’re not the one paying the bills.
Good morning and happy Saturday. Mrs Sven got home early yesterday morning, but definitely not a good trip.
I need to catch up on earlier posts and all, but here’s something to start the day out with:
Good scene, good movie. Many interesting characters and performances.
I’m sorry Mrs. Sven had a bad time but I’m glad she is home and safe.
Caturday greetings, GN!
Hai, Sven and Mac!
Sorry Mrs. Sven’s trip was lousy; happy she made it back to teh Redoubt.
Hope Paddy survived the work-related imbecilic nattering.
BBL.
Good news last night. Someone is back behind bars. Limp lobe fail!
Wonder what her two functioning “noorons” make of that?

Contrast her treatment with certain bakers or the elderly florist, or film makers exposing corruption in institutions beloved of the Left. It is sad.
Yup.
I sort of look forward to the day that I read that somewhere across this great land, the peasants are indeed revolting. For realz. 👿
I no longer believe that can happen. Sadly, I’m inclined to agree with you. I worry about what’s going to happen to our grandkids.
OTOH, sometimes it only takes a single spark…but I ain’t holding my breath.
Hahahahahaha*snort*hahahahaaaa…

Oh yes! Good morning, Sir.
