I recall sort-of being the poor unfortunate whose silhouette appears in the thread pic. It was a very rainy morning in S.F., I was walking to work in a suit and trenchcoat and got nailed head-to-toe by a #30 Stockton bus. (Fortunately, it wasn’t mud; mostly just water. Still had a bit of tidying-up to do when I got to the office.)
Enjoyed the Gregg Allman cover of “Willin'”; didn’t know such a thing existed. Had a cow-worker at the first record store I worked in (which did about 70% of its annual sales in classical recordings) who was a Feats fan and they grew on me.
The Gregg Allman cover is off an album that came out last year: Southern Blood. It was the last album he worked on and was recorded mostly while he was seriously ill and finished just days before he died last year.
Yep, 8 hours of staring at my computer screen, listening to the audio on my phone, reading the chat box as people type “what section are you referring to? Please use the pointer!” and “everybody -- please mute your phone -- we can hear your kids”.
I like this from AoS today: ” Also, he might consider the possibility that when a population feels as if it’s under siege (primarily because it is under siege), they will tend to be supportive of their few prominent defenders. It’s a thing called hierarchy of needs — hard needs like survival come first, soft needs like self-actualization (including having opinions and preferences on third- and fourth-order concerns like virtue-signaling) come last.”
Tomorrow should be a big day what with all the teeth gnashing and hysteria over THE memo and then the SOTU speech. I expect many splodey heads and I shall laugh.
Happy Monday, Wheelizens!

Heh.
No. 🙂
BBL.
Hi, Fatwa. Good morning GN, and happy Monday.
Middle of winter and we’ll be up in the 80s today. Strong winds too all night and through today. Yuck.

Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Another full day of training on my plate. I am so looking forward to it.
Very cool, Paddy! Training is always good.
