Earlier this week I wrote a letter to the manager of the Krogers market here. I ran some errands and came home but was going back out so I decided to type the letter on the computer and print it since it got a bit long for my sloppy handwriting. I was in a hurry but checked it and found a couple of misspellings so I sorted that out. I double checked the date on my calendar and confirmed that Wed was indeed the 7th. I printed it and placed it in an envelope and dropped it at the store. It was not until evening I realized it was Tuesday, not Wednesday. Your comments about the days yesterday and this morning made me smile. So I’m not the only one?
I don’t suppose she will mind the mistake as I was just complimenting her on her store and her crew. It is a bit grim to see I can’t keep tract of what day of the week it is.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
Mac -- I’m not sure what report you’re referring to, but we have a large toilet-to-tap program that has been going on for a number of years in OC. The water that comes out of the process is completely devoid of everything but H20. They add minerals back to it, then transport it back towards the mountains and inject it into the aquifer. We also have a number of plants that perform less thorough cleaning of water for irrigation purposes and for use as saltwater intrusion barriers. It sure beats pumping it out to the ocean.
Hai, Sven, Mac and Paddy (in order of appearance).
In the process of obtaining bids to replace the roof at CasaK; weird as hell to be on the other side of the equation.
Just as I was emerging from the shower, got a call from a guy I wasn’t expecting until tomorrow, but he had a hole in his schedule and could come by today. I said “fine” and am pleased that, despite not knowing local materials or labor prices, the first estimate was smack in the middle of my guessed-at price range.
But that was really just lucky, given my ignorance. (Also was close on my eyeball estimate of square footage, in which I was fairly confident.)
Gives new meaning to “The Golden State.”
Naughty Mac! (I approve, of course.)
Big (48″) water main break in an adjoining county yesterday; much chaos, including closed schools, businesses, hospitals, a large mall, etc. And flooding along Buford Hwy. (a name which still amuses me despite having been here nearly a decade).
Check calendar…OK. Happy Thursday, GN!
Good morning, Sven. So California is going to dump treated sewage into the reservoirs? Gives new meaning to “The Golden State.”

Sorry Paddy, I should have linked to it.

I know this isn’t as bad as it sounds, but it does sound kind of bad.
Good (late) morning, Wheelizens!
