Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
Excellent thread pic, Mac!
In re Syria: I agree with PDT’s assessment that we should extricate ourselves sooner, rather than later. We aren’t, and can’t be, the world’s policeman. At the same time, there are certain actions that demand response, and the use of NBC weapons is one of them. That’s a line that we shouldn’t allow to be crossed with impunity. Should the UN be taking the lead in this? Of course -- that’s part of their job. Will they? Absolutely not. That body has ceased to serve any useful purpose, assuming it ever did.
It’s too bad that American meddling over the decades has probably made the Middle East worse.
I concur we cannot and should not be the world’s policeman; we have done a poor job of it in the past -- frequently due to lack of decisiveness. Sheeeeit…we can’t even keep hordes of criminals from pouring across our own borders.
And don’t get me started on the UN; I’m still resentful that I Trick-or-Treated for UNICEF several times more than a half century ago and am culpable for the child molesting blue helmets I no doubt helped to fund.
AFAIC, A couple of our cruise missiles slammed into that monstrosity on Turtle Bay on a busy day would not be unwelcome (very preferably with our few real allies’ staffers not present…but it’s okay if the Frogs and Belgies are there eating garden pests and fries with mayo.)
Now more than ever, Frank J. Fleming’s “Nuke the Moon” seems like good foreign policy.
Such articulate young persons with their totally spontaneous and unscripted off-the-cuff conversation which just happened to be caught by multiple cameras.
Happy Caturday, Wheelizens!
Yet another fine thread pic, Mac. 👿
Have very mixed feelings about Syria. Assad’s a bastard, but there are plenty of worse bastards there.
Feh.

Yes, but how do you feel about fry sauce?
That’s a product of Satan’s kitchen.
I did that Trick or Treat for UNICEF as well and feel the same way.
Sure, our intentions were good, but…
Then I’m sure you’ll love this newest product from Kraft-Heinz:
Gaaaaaaaaaah!
I think it’d be great fun to take a plasma cutter to this ferkockte sculpture and turn it into a snubby. 👿
As much as I hate to see a Python desecrated to a snubby, I agree with you.
Bonus points: Add a multi-hundred mW “laser grip” programmed to take out the odd passing bus or garbage truck. 👿
Yeeesssssssssssss.
You mean like this?
Sure; why not.
We must listen to the children:

Absolutely!
Then send them to bed without their phones.
