The courage and virtue of the people who ended segregation deserved better, to be honored and commemorated.
Personally, I would simply like to see an end to the grievance industry, which has only survived because 1) some people wish to be more equal than others, 2) it’s quite profitable and, 3) it’s used as a bludgeon to control people. (The actual “root causes” were mostly solved a half-century ago.)
I’d also like to see the demise of the Congressional Black Caucus; they are some of the most pernicious people in our entire country.
I remember reading Black Like Me -- which my folks owned -- when I was about ten-tears-old; it both infuriated and saddened me.

I listened to Trump’s speech to the NRA today. Underwhelming. It’s like nothing exists outside of him -- he definitely has no higher power to serve.
On the other hand, if you are a Second Amendment supporter, then it’s good to have any allies anymore.
