Can’t tell if teh thread kitteh thinks the ravioli is a WANT! or DO NOT WANT! 👿
Really don’t get the Roseanne / Jarrett flap; as far as I know, Iranians / Persians are considered Caucasian, so the “racism” angle makes no sense…except as a distraction to generate outrage in an effort to keep a lid on other stories.
But then, I’m part of the Great Unwashed, so what do I know?
I’d wager that there will be more cable news coverage of the Roseanne-racist America story than what was racked up over the school shooting in Santa Fe Texas.
I was reading about the Portland bakery that fired two employees that refused service to black woman who wanted to buy a donut after the store had closed. Sadly, the store’s long and apparently hilarious apology has been removed from their facebook page, but it is captured in this video. Long, but amusing in a sad-they’ve ruined the country kind of way.
It’s long, but worth watching. It’s the progressive philosophy in a nutshell: you can’t make a social justice omelette without breaking a few eggs, and the eggs in this case were two employees who did absolutely nothing wrong.
As much as I dislike living in SoCal, I’m glad I don’t live in Portland if this is typical of not only what they think, but how they act.
G’day, GN!

BBL.
You can never tell with cats, Fatwa.
Happy Wednesday, GN, and good morning, Fatwa.

Amazing how fast that story disappeared when it involved a revolver and a shotgun.
And a community that wasn’t jumping on the Hogg wagon.

I read about this last night, but haven’t watched the video. I guess we can add WWW (working while white) to the ever growing list of race crimes.

You’re right -- definitely worth watching.
Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
If that’s a plate of Chef Boy-ar-dee, I’m pretty sure the cat is saying nope!
Hai, Sven and Paddy!
Figures; thanks.
Not to mention that a majority of kids at that HS are pro-2A.
Fair point.
May the owner of the Back To Eden Bakery be hit by a sugar delivery truck and have a sweet death.
I wonder if those terminations were lawful under OR law.
Good point! I’d love to see that craven owner hit with penalties for unlawful termination.
Only one problem: I think the fired employees were white.
