Sorry to read about your painters’ confusion and hope it can be fairly resolved.
Got an email Friday afternoon from a favored property manager with a list of seven HOAs to look at re roof maintenance and repairs. Which certainly doesn’t suck. Alas, several of them are places we’ve visited in the past two years for the same purpose, prepared detailed reports with captioned photos as well as proposals and the HOAs have done fark-all.
Which is not so nice, so I need to try to determine a way to handle the situation without wasting too much of our time or pissing anyone off. Poor Jim is gonna have to do the schlepping regardless, but I think we should review previous reports / bids and simply provided supplementary reports referencing the originals (and attach copies of same).
As is typical in my experience, the worst time-wasters are HOAs in expensive parts of town like Beverly Hills. Ass though we should be falling all over ourselves at the chance to do work for wealthy and entitled people. Feh.

I definitely felt like the thread doggeh this morning, even though I went to bed a couple of hours earlier than normal.
The painters should be here soon to touch-up the ceiling. We’ll also have them touch up a few shelves that were a little light on paint. After that, Mrs. Paddy will start on the walls in the master bedroom, then we can get everything back in place.
Even though work is over until early August, I’ve got some paperwork I need to finish up on.
Good luck on your proposals, Fatwa. I think the supplement is the way to go. No sense re-doing all that other work without a guarantee of return.
Sadly, it is now “yet”. 🙁
