So that’s how roof turbines get covered in pigeon shit; will have to share with Jim.
For the past three-plus weeks, we’ve gotten a little (~0.10″) rain almost every day along with sun, so the lawn has been growing like crazy. Mowed the front at 7:15 a.m., ’cause it was only 78ºF but very dewy. What a PITA; I’m exhausted already.
Let me assure you: It’s the heat and the humidity.
We’ll see how the “mulch” setting worked on our relatively new two-blade mower. (I was not gonna be humping umpty-ump bags of very wet grass to the mulch pile today.) If that chokes the lawn a bit, screw it. 👿
Happy Independence Day Eve, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!
Fatwa -- I remember living in places like that and how heavy those wet grass clippings were.
We’ve got family and friends coming over tomorrow, so we’ve been trying to clean and straighten up the house. Between the bathroom renovation, adding wainscoting and crown molding to Teh Younger’s room, and adding some built-in’s, crown molding, and baseboards to ours, the living and dining room were pretty well filled with extraneous things. The living room is back to normal, but I’ve got some boxes in the dining room to go through. Now’s the time to clean things out, instead of just putting it all back.
That is some seriously cool stuff. I know which one I’d get my Dad, if he were still alive. Which of course brings to mind the hoarding that overtook him in his later years (which my brother knew of, but didn’t mention), and the family dynamics between my Mom and Dad that kept my Dad away for so many years.
All the construction has really kicked up the dust around here.
Happy Independence Day Eve!

Well, it is Oakland California -- plead guilty to 36 counts of manslaughter and get a 9-year sentence:
