So, despite the fact I couldn’t get answers to some key questions from the property manager,
I submitted the bid package for that $1M+ project yesterday. Along with a very diplomatic cover letter explaining that the lack of information forced us to make certain presumptions based on the little info we were given.
Good news: I finally got the info I needed.
Bad news: I have a carp-tonne of admin and recalculation work to do in order to furnish pricing in a manner that’s responsive to what the HOA Board actually wants. (Which is what nearly all my un-answered queries pertained to.)
Good news: I think we made a positive impression on the (somewhat-embarrassed) property manager, whom we have not worked for previously. She also inadvertently revealed a couple of things which might give us a small competitive edge.
Happy Caturday, GN!
