Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

It’s another Funday Monday, here at Teh Wheel. On the work front, I’ve got a two-day professional development meeting for the special education department on Tuesday and Wednesday. Their holding it near the Burbank airport. and rather than making the two hour drive in traffic, I think I’ll take the MetroLink. I’ll get Mrs. Paddy to drop me off at the station, then it’s only about a ten minute walk on the other end to the hotel. We’ll see how it goes.

Hai, Sven and Paddy!

Paddy --

Hope your MetroLink journey is uneventful both ways…and that you derive some value from the meeting.

I got an email from the CTA (yoonyun goons) urging members to call their state senators to oppose an assembly bill that would allow a tax credit for donations to public schools.

1. Please CALL YOUR SENATOR toll-free at 1-844-284-9319 and URGE him/her to oppose AB 2217 by Assembly Member Burke. This bill would create yet another round of tax credits that would diminish much-needed funding from our students and schools. Tell your Senator AB 2217 would allow taxpayers to qualify for tax credits for donating money to charities, educational institutions that participate in the CalGrant program, a California Community College or a K-12 public school district, lowering the taxes Californians pay and ultimately impacting state funding and Proposition 98.

The tone-deafness is astounding.
