Sloth! LambiePieK and I really need it today, deadly sin or no. š
This pisses me off — Iām not quite sure why it does, but it does.
Me too, Sven. It pisses me off because we’ve become a nation of infantilized pussies whose pwecious fee-fees are far more important than knowledge and understanding of the history -- both good and bad -- of our culture. And the still-valid principles upon which our nation was founded
As keeps being pointed out, “1984” was a cautionary tale, not a freakin’ instruction manual.
As a member of a fairly small group which has experienced some bigotry in this country (although certainly less than in others), I find it a bit personally upsetting to read some stories which took place earlier in our history. But that history is what it is.
Yet somehow, I manage to acknowledge and cope with it.
I’m grateful that particular situation has mostly improved (although seems to be devolving in some regards).
And I’m especially glad that part of my birthright includes the basic legal right to own tools which are exceedingly effective at stopping any individuals who wish to to harm me for that -- or any other -- reason.
I wish to opine that becoming dead does not somehow ennoble bad human beings. If one is an asshole in life, at the point where one assumes ambient temperature, one simply becomes a dead asshole.
Which I believe is an event to be enjoyed in some manner.
I don’t blame one but I am just sad. I am a bit relieved as I did not trust him and felt betrayed and expected him to stab conservatives in the back, but I am sad for what he could and should have been. I will just leave it at that.
McCain is an odd duck -- his life before politics is amazing, but as a senator he seems to have been mostly meh, at best. At worse, he was clearly not conservative and his non-defense of Palin after the election loss was hugely disappointing.
Happy Sunday, GN!
I see that the media is once again confirming that the only good Republican is a dead Republican.

Hai, Sven --
Guess I was “typing furiously” when you posted your earlier comments; as such, I didn’t “see” ya.
My ninja posting skills are quite effective, eh?
Har!
Yes…yes they are.
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!
I’m sure we’ll be hearing all about how we need more Republicans in the mold of McCain.
Hai, Paddy!
I’m going to bite my virtual tongue for right now. šæ
