From everything I’ve read, yesterday’s confirmation hearing was a disgusting zoo. (Deliberately haven’t watched any video as I’ve already got enough aggravation this week.)
I’ll be curious to see how Nike’s new ad campaign plays out. People are memeing the daylights out of the Kaepernick print ad using folks like David Koresh, the Unabomber and this guy:
The hearings yesterday were a bigger circus than usual, but the media spin is that our politics are broken -- not that the Dems/left are out of control. And that what happened yesterday is not any different than what the Tea Party did.
Happy mid-week, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
I watched Ted Cruz’s opening statement (which, fortunately was not interrupted by protesters in either the gallery or the dais) and felt he knocked it out of the park. I also watched a couple minute compilation of Grassley attempting to open the hearing while being interrupted by several senators. According to some sources, Schmuck Schumer coordinated the senate attack during a conference call last weekend.
Not watching the hearings today, either. Too many of the people in that room sicken me; especially those who fancy themselves our rulers (and they come from both sides of the aisle).
The relentless howling from certain quarters inclines me to think Kavanaugh is a pretty good pick. (Well, that, plus he seems to hold the COTUS in fairly high regard.)
Reading over at Minteh’s -- geez, what a ballsup of a life. I really really really really hope that no one gets seriously injured as this woman flames out.
As of 1:39 pm she has been a guest of the San Diego County Sheriffs Department, currently booked on a felony fugitive from justice warrant with no bail (although this being California, what the heck does that mean).
I do wish I felt more confidence that the various people in the two state systems will do their jobs and keep hold of her. That seems rather optimistic of me.
Wednesday compliments, Wheelizens!

BBL.
Hi, Fatwa.

That’s funny.
Maybe he should be in adds for Barcaloungers, instead.

But I was sure glad to see that she was in custody. I thought this was going to be a mess.
