Happy Friday, GN!

Our latest long national nightmare appears to be at an end, one way or the other, but I’m sure the next one is already waiting in the wings.

Happy Friday, GN!

Hey, Sven!

It looks like the Kavanaugh hit job is rapidly falling apart, which would be a good thing. The shame is that it has gone on for this long based on what appears to be a load of pure-T bullshit.

Assuming he’s confirmed, I’d like it if someone sent Kavanaugh a throne of skulls for his chambers. 👿

That having been said, I have some concerns that he’s rather more of a statist than I would prefer to have on the SCOTUS, as I would like Justices intent on reducing the size and scope of the FedGov back to its clearly stated Constitutional limits.

I agree, Fatwa. But things being what they are, I’ll take a guy that leans our way over anyone else right now. If things were less partisan-leaning left, or as the smart people like to say, tribal, I’d say vote no on Kavanaugh because he was such a whiner.

Hi, Fatwa. Hey, not much rain if any over the other day -- what happened? I thought your guys controlled the weather?

I’m not sure if the Senate has the votes for Kavanaugh, but I guess we’ll find out tomorrow. It does give the libs another 24 hours of hissy fits and protests -- that’s their bread and circuses.

My hope is that Kavanaugh doesn’t forget who screwed him over and rules accordingly.

Hey, Mac!

Figured PB was having some issues today; not your problem. Warmest regards to Elena!

My hope is that Kavanaugh doesn’t forget who screwed him over and rules accordingly.

While I certainly share that sentiment, I really want a SCOTUS which decides cases properly per the COTUS. (Failure to abide by our founding document has caused no end of mischief and I’d like to see that trend reversed.)

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, Fatwa, and Mac!

I hope the Republicans remember that most Senate Democrats stated before the hearings that they would not vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. If this is the game they’re going to play, then the rules need to apply equally to both sides -- no more confirming justices or other judges just because they are well-qualified. If they don’t hold the proper view on the COTUS, they don’t get the votes.

That’s where I’m at too, Paddy. We din’t make the rules, but if they are what they are, then that’s the game we have to play.

Shit, this is like November 8 2016 all over again…and it never gets old.

I just watched the video of protesters (all 2 of them) following Lindsay Graham to his car, while shouting accusations. He smiled and said they’d be welcome in South Carolina. That’s the way to respond to these harridans (and soy boys). Unfortunately, I think the Republicans only borrowed a pair, rather than growing one of their own.
