According to a Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office release, officers called to a home June 28 found Ferguson bleeding from his leg and head. A preliminary investigation indicated he had tried to attack his son with a running chain saw while he [sic] son mowed the yard.
Detectives say the father and son had an ongoing feud.
Wonder if alcohol was involved or just cussed orneriness?
No video. However, Daddy’s injury was severe enough that -- per the article -- a leg had to be amputated. “Never bring a chainsaw to a lawnmower fight.”
And, yes…check for the standard amount to the usual place, please.
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
According to my neighbor’s rain gauge (via Weather Underground), we got 0.22″ of rain last night. That’s almost a quarter of an inch more than we’ve had for months, so I’ll take it.
We’re going to try to get one of the side yards cleaned up a bit this morning, and put some of the excess gravel there.
Caturday compliments, Wheelizens.
As of this writing, the L.A. area is getting some light rain; looks like a few 100ths of an inch, so just enough to make cars look dirty. Bah!
Meanwhile, in the great state of Tennessee, it looks like they still take their feuds seriously:

Good morning, GN!
A little bit of rain last night -- should I send the check to the usual place, Fatwa?
G’day, Sven!
