I guess that’s one way to get wildlife off the road.

Hope you two stay safe what with the Santa Ana winds and all. Interesting approach by SoCal Edison to preemptively cut power; bet that pisses-off lot of affected customers, ‘tho.
OTOH, y’all don’t need any more fires; too bad the most recent rains weren’t a lot heavier.
I see that jowly old AlGore thinks we’re “…using the Earth’s atmosphere as an open sewer.”
The weather people weren’t lying about the winds. Started up right on schedule and with gusts, so far, up to 50mph in our area. Much banging and flopping around of things outside. Relative humidity dropped from95% at midnight to 9% right now. It actually dropped from 95% to 24% in 15 minutes. Should be an interesting day.
We still have power so maybe SoCal Edison hasn’t acted yet.
Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
The winds have calmed down quite a bit around here -- gusts are only 18 mph -- and the humidity is 14%. I guess it helps to be closer to the coast. We’ve got one broken branch on our pine tree -- broken, but still attached. It’s not too large, but is going to be a bear to get to.
Hmmmm. Slapping that creature on the rump is, oddly, appealing.
We made it through the day -- the winds have died down for the moment -- expected to pick up in about an hour and continue on until tomorrow night. Today was mostly foreplay. Tomorrow will be the day if things turn to shit.
SoCal Edison called and told us we are in teh zone to have power shut off.
Oh joy…it’s Monday!!1!

I fart in his general direction.

Do you think that slap on the rump will make the driver ineligible for office in 30 years?
It depends on his party affiliation.
True! Silly me.
41 degrees now and it stormed all night. We have been using the AC even when raining. It felt strange to set the thermostat on “heat” this morning.
Heya, Paddy and Mac!
Heh. (That probably makes me ineligible in thirty years, too.)
Getting our furnace system warranty-serviced tomorrow; might need it by the weekend.

Winds started picking up here about an hour ago. I hope all the hatches are battened down at the Mountain Redoubt.
As best we can, Paddy.
You molested a reindeer??
Smacking it on the rump is nowhere near this, so we are all ok:
