Today we celebrate All Saints Day -- a day that we remember all those who touched our lives and are now absent from the body, but present with the Lord.
I’ve worn Levi 501s my whole life -- I can even remember my first pair back when I was maybe 11 years old -- for some reason my parents objected to jeans back then -- sure they had a reason but I have no idea now what it could have been. I typically buy 4 or so pairs a year and they have been standard work attire at teh bestest place ever. But their public support for views and groups that I vehemently oppose forced me to look at alternatives, and I’m happy to say that I settled on Wrangler jeans. Comfortable, look fine, and $15-20 cheaper than my old 501s.
So good good-bye 501s and thanks for all the memories, but it’s time for me to move on. And it’s not me -- it’s you.
