Just talked to my cousin who lives in West Hills not very far from one of the mandatory evacuation areas. He’s confident they’re likely to be fine as even if the winds kick back up blowing in the opposite direction, “There’s nothing left to burn that’d bring the fire back closer to us.”
IMO, I think he’s correct, but I still worry.
Read they’ve got the Hill Fire 15% contained; hope the lack of wind allows more progress before it kicks up again.
This is what happens when you ditch the Paris Climate Accords and end net neutrality.
Al Gore should drive down from Santa Barbara and bring some snow.
Wonder if any of the affluent lefties in Calabasas, T.O., etc. have sufficient awareness to comprehend that they support bad resource management policies which have directly led to their communities burning.
I suspect most of them would rather lose their homes than be chastised by their peers for not toeing the official line that woodlands should be left pristine and untouched to become firestorm fuel.
Om nom nom!
Happy Caturday, Wheelizens!

The NorCal situation is awful, too.
Say what you will about the Al Gore, he has made a killing with snow jobs.
I see what you did there.
Of course! You are smarter than the average bear.
Happy Caturday (Now with Moar Bunnies!), Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
It’s another hot, dry day, here in the People’s Republik. I’m sure Gavin Newsome will get right on it.
Happy 243rd birthday, USMC!
Hiya, Paddy!
Indeed!

Too soon?
Fark ’em; they won’t learn from this.
