Happy “Raid On The Svens’ Mountain Redoubt” Sunday, Wheelizens!
About what they did to their economy as well.
No kidding, Mac.
The economic BS Jim teh Roofer’s relatively small operation has to deal with would be comical if it didn’t make running a business so difficult. (One of the little items is that for the past 10+ years, Jim will not purchase anything -- including lunch, gasoline or a package of mints -- in L.A. County if there’s any way to avoid it.)
Los Angeles really needs Domino’s Pizza to start fixing some of their potholes. 👿
Sort of waiting for Sacramento and L.A. County to retroactively pass a “fire fine”. Lose property in the fires? You contributed to air pollution; pay us, bitchez!
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
Recruit Rock E. Raccoon navigates the ropes course.
Fatwa -- in re the CA economy: I still see lots of commenters on various boards touting the wonderfulness of the CA economy -- “7th largest in the world!” -- and completely ignoring the clusterfark the Left has made of this state. We’ve got a couple of industries that have made lots of mega-millionaires, while the rest of the state struggles day-to-day. These same people champion the fight against income inequality, but wouldn’t think of skipping a tax break, let alone voluntarily contributing extra to the state coffers.
“California, home of the seventh largest economy in the world, is formerly the home of the sixth largest economy in the world.”
While I still lived out there, I used to argue that at some point, CA’s economy would be reduced to nothing but Silicon Valley, Hollywood, fast food, disaster tourism and landscaping. 👿
