Top o’ teh mornin’ from Doom Central -- Southern Division, GN!
Heya, Sven (and Mrs. Sven)!
Latest local DOOM forecast: snow for about an hour midday…with a temp of 38ºF, so it’s unlikely to stick. Temps won’t drop to freezing until 6:00 p.m., so I doubt there’ll be much Snowpocalypse ’round here.
Lows in the 20s tonight and the next two nights, but no precipitation. Meh.
Big Game Sunday forecast to be 56º and rainy. Meh, redux.
BUT THE AUTHORITAHS ARE PREPARED!! (Yeah, right…)
Feel sorry for the Yankees who are gonna get whacked with miserable cold.
Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!
Very cute thread gif, Mac!
That problem family I mentioned yesterday? They called me at 7:39 last night and the call lasted a good 45 minutes. The call started off with the dad, then the mom took over, then it went back to the dad. I was close to ending the call after 10 minutes because of their rudeness, but things slowly improved. They really want to meet in-person and are willing to meet closer to me, so I think I’ll try to do that on Friday. Then later that day, we’re holding a meeting for their second son to determine if he is eligible for special education services and supports. Mom has pushed back the time of the meeting to 4:45 pm (or is willing to meet at 5 am or on a Saturday). That will be about a 2-hour meeting, so I’ll be pretty well done with them by dinner time.
Speaking of cats, Jack Tatum disappeared in the middle of the night last night and the coyotes were going bonkers -- hope the two aren’t related, but he’s yet to return home.
And St Francis came through again -- Jack Tatum just straggled home. No injuries. Has all his eyes, teeth, and ears.
We’ve taken in a LOT of feral cats including toms over the years. All of them would disappear at times for 2-5 days and then come home beat to hell with wounds and other assorted damage. We’ve had Tatum now for three years and he’s had one injured leg and that’s it. Not that I’m complaining, but I wonder what he’s doing and where he’s going all the time.
Thank you for the good news. I assume you know where tom cats usually go when they disappear for a while. JT must be good at fighting if he dishes out so much more than he brings home.
Good morning -- Mrs Sven was up early looking at your thread cat gifs, Mac -- she loves them.
I am glad she likes them. I try to mix it up a bit as I know you get tired of them but as it says, “A thread without kitties might as well be dead.”
Naw, Mac. I just like to pull your chain every once in a while. They do bring a smile to Mrs Sven’s face though.

Criminy, Paddy…hope you can get the whole family sorted. (One way or another.)
They sound utterly charming.
Wow, Paddy. Entitled much? What a pain. No wonder good people are getting out. I am sorry you have to put up with this carp.
Sounds like you did a good thing, Paddy -- maybe it will turn all of their lives around.
Hi, Mac!
Big Game Host City Weather Update: We got a little rain midday; it’s sunny now.
Fimbulwinter FAIL!
But a lot of people got to stay home from work and school today. 🙂
(Plus, local stores had a run on bread, milk, eggs, cooking oil and toilet paper.)
I don’t stock up on toilet p[aper for bad weather…but I do keep a bit extra on hand.

Maybe cut back on the fiber, just a wee bit.
Sale at Costco.

I hope he is OK. You are good Gerbils for taking these guys in.
What Mac said. I hope he was just tormenting the coyotes.
St. Francis is probably tired of me asking him to watch over Tatum and to guide him home safely, but it never hurts to ask.
And St Francis came through again -- Jack Tatum just straggled home. No injuries. Has all his eyes, teeth, and ears.

I’m glad to hear he’s back safe and sound. That’s some cat!
