Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
Who’s a good pupper? The bad guy swallowed your squeaky toy! Go find it!
I’ve got a meeting with my favorite parent at 4:45 this afternoon. A couple of senior administrators from our parent organization in OK will be on the conference call, as well as our attorney (the parent says their attorney will be listening in, as well). It should be loads of fun.
Well that sounds like a pain, Paddy. I hope they back you up but somehow that does not sound like a safe bet. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just educate kids? Where are we going to end up when all the good teachers are driven out?
When all the good teachers are driven out, then the Left will have won.
Fortunately, I’ve got the support of my administration -- both in CA and OK. Also, fortunately for me, most of the issues the family have fall on the general education side of things.
Criminy…what a week. I expect I’ll be putting in some time over the weekend, too.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hope Sven got some sleep and that Paddy’s conference call goes well.
Went to an automotive locksmith today to get some spare keys and fobs programmed for Brenda’s new ride. (Came with one key and no fob.) She’s quite excited to have remote start now.
Locksmith seemed like “good people”, and I was tickled he was strapped with a Ruger 1911. (Open carry is legal here with a GA weapons permit, although it ain’t my cup o’ tea.)
Also like that he doesn’t charge for locked-in kids or pets in what he considers his “service area”.
Back the the grindstone…which hasn’t put much of a dent in my proboscis. 👿
Thanks -- yes I did get a more or less full night’s sleep -- felt much better today. Today marks ten years since my mother passed away -- going to run by the church and sit for a bit. Hard to believe it’s been that long.
4 hours and 12 minutes. The meeting was a bitch-fest. Every time I tried to wrap it up, the family went back to some previous point. Every time I tried to move the meeting forward, the family went back to some previous point. They accused us of not wanting to accept blame (which is partially true), but they were playing the same game. They were the victims, nothing was their fault.
Good morning and happy Friday, GN!
Good morning, Sven. I hope you got more sleep and that you and Mrs. Sven are well.
Thanks, Mac -- and you and Elena as well.

Here’s hoping the grindstone will spit out not just sparks but a lot of money.

Prayers for peace and comfort for you, my friend. I know this is a difficult time.
Thanks, Paddy.

Iz tard.
That’s a long meeting -- and doesn’t sound like it was productive either -- next steps?
