Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
The rain is making a mess of the freeways -- well, more of a mess than they usually are -- but I’m not scheduled to meet the student in Lawndale until 11, so the worst of the morning commute should be over.
Teh Younger has been watching GoT, but hasn’t had the negative reaction that others have had. He had already figured out that most of the major characters were going to get wiped out, it was just a question of who would be left at the end. With the shorter season (probably due to increased production costs associated with all of the CGI this season), they have to take some short-cuts in story-telling. Why get all worked up about it?
GoT Sn 8 has been a bit disappointing, especially as we had to wait two years for this final season. I think the butthurt has been a bit over the top but I was hoping for better.
“A little more…more…TOO FAR!”
G’day, Wheelizens!
Because I have such warm feelings and deep concern for them? 👿
Me, too.
Besides the sheer work and expense involved, I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t be buying that explanation from me…but I appreciate the thought.
================
While I didn’t really watch either series, the butthurt about the last GoT season reminds me how unhappy many people were with the ending of “Lost”.
Priorities, people…
BBL.
Hi, Fatwa. Huh. It’s raining this morning -- nothing heavy, but unusual.
Hi, Sven!
We knew rain had been forecast; got a bunch of smaller repairs blown out earlier this week.
Also got Mrs. Shyster sorted-out. (Which could have been done at least six weeks ago were she not a threatening jackass; oh well…)
Just came across this; sad “heh”:

It’s way over the top, but I guess hardly surprising in this day and age.
Sadly true, Sir.
