I concur with Uncle Ted as quoted in yesterday’s thread…and with Paddy’s sentiment re same. 👿
So glad that prevaricating GA State Rep. Erica Thomas has been forced to walk back her Facebook drama-queen boo-hooing over an alleged “hate” incident at a Publix grocery store. And I appreciate that the guy she falsely accused of being more “hateful” then he actually was has been very forthright about what he did and didn’t say.
I see from cable news that Trump’s racism is still the most important story in the world. Giddiness abounds. This is it -- -- this is the moment that America finally came to its senses and doomed Trump’s reelection chances. We are so saved.
Quoting Uncle Ted -- f*ck you.
I read that story about Rep Thomas, Fatwa. Does sound like a load of hooey.
Back to work -- yuck -- but as Mrs Sven always reminds me I am thankful that I have a job to go to.
Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- having a job is, indeed, a goodness.
Isn’t it interesting that the story is how a Cuban-American told an African-American to go back, and not that an elected representative told a Cuban-American to go back? Which she admits she did.
I can’t remember the guy’s name, but this reminds me of that black congressman who braved the racist Tea Party when Pelosi was doing her victory lap as speaker that claimed that someone either spat on him or called him bad names or something similar. The one where Breitbart put up $100,000 to anyone that could provide video evidence of it and never had to write the check.
I think certain groups have a filter so that when you say “good morning” what they hear is “get to the back of the bus you lousy nig…”
Hahahahahahah*schnort*hahahaha…I think you’re correct about that filter.
I believe the Rep. in question was Atlanta’s own John Lewis. He was on the Edmund Pettus Bridge on Bloody Sunday, ’65 and got whacked on the head. Not to be mean-spirited, but I think it left him a bit tiched. (Not making light of what happened; he just turned out to be an asshole as a politician.)
Happy Monday, Wheelizens!
I’ll have whatever teh Thread Kitteh’s having.

“Why do you hate assertive Cuban-American Democrats who call out your bad behavior, Rep. Thomas?”
The initial story reeked of BS; imagine my surprise that it was, in fact, BS.
But Thomas is, of course, insulated from any real criticism because:
1) Democrat
2) Black
3) Vagina
4) Enhancements: (allegedly) nine months preggers, (alleged) spouse serving in military.
It’s a good thing misanthropy has become a great way of life for me.

Hi, Sven and Paddy!
Earlier today, Erica Thomas walked back part of her walk-back. Dissembling dumbass.
And POS.
At least until the next iteration of her “evolving” narrative.
