It’s that Middle O’ Teh Week Day again, Wheelizens.

I don’t know where you find your seemingly unending supply of thread photos, but thanks, as always, for being our diligent ThreadLad. (And kudos also to Jerry for the ongoing hosting; really sorry about that unfortunate carpet stain; I’ll hit it again with some more club soda… )

I’m with you re HK; we ought not do anything other than support the protesters’ efforts from the sidelines and apply some pressure through back-channels.
A couple of days ago on Twitter, someone suggested it would be a real shame if an entire container ship laden with arms and ammo were to conveniently run aground od the shore of HK.
The mother of all canoeing mishaps, if you will. 👿
As Ed Abbey wrote: “Or if we must meddle, as we have always done, let us meddle for a change in a constructive way. Stop every campesino at our southern border, give him a handgun, a good rifle, and a case of ammunition, and send him home. He will know what to do with our gifts and good wishes. The people know who their enemies are.”
I noticed that none of the reports listed the name of the gunman, but four of the women who were in the house where the arrest warrant was served were wearing burqas. I didn’t realize the Amish had a presence in Philadelphia.

Here’s a rather good response to the “we license cars, so why can’t we license guns?” droolers:

Why can’t we treat the right to vote like we treat the right to possess firearms? Poll taxes galore.
Happy Wednesday, Fatwa -- good morning, GN.

Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Thanks for the links!
I see the crazy NRA or KKK is active tonight in Philadelphia. Bastards.
