Due to the rain in SoCal, JimCo’s really been hopping. (Thus far, there have been no reported leaks from roofs we’ve done, which is unsurprising but still a goodness.)
This afternoon, we’re headed out to the ClanK Compound Mark II to spend the night, watch kids open gifts (hopefully early) tomorrow morning and then bail.
Bah! (Except -- maybe -- watching the children unwrap stuff).
In the meantime, I’ve got a busy day of roofing-related fun; oh joy.
Happy Christmas Eve day, thingy, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
It’s a beautiful, sunny day, but chilly, with the promise of rain early tomorrow morning, followed by more on Thursday. I got all of my last-minute victual shopping done yesterday (I hope!) and while the crowds and parking lots were bad, they weren’t as bad as they’ll be today.
Fatwa -- here’s hoping all of your grunt work pays off for JimCo.
We went out last night to see the latest Star Wars movie -- it was not as bad as I’d feared, and we all agreed that J.J. Abrahms was handed a hot mess and did the best he could with it, considering the sorry state of the two previous movies in the trilogy. It was really 2 -- 2 1/2 movies, but you know Disney wasn’t going to go for that. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the wrapped up the storyline nicely.
Happy Christmas Eve Day and whichever Hanukkah Day it might be.
We’ll be hosting some missionaries for Christmas dinner, so I guess I’ll be cooking all evening tonight. I think I’ll make my Great Grandmother’s Potato soup. And maybe some other Germanish saurcrauty bratwursty thing.
The interwebs tell me I have a package in the mail, so Ima go get that. Have a nice holiday, Wheelies!!!!
Be sure to make Funeral Potatoes to make them feel at home! Oh, and put Corn Flakes on top of a casserole to mimic browning. Oh, and a green Jello salad with vegetables in it.
Happy Christmas Eve Day, GN!

=======================
Actually laughted out loud when I read teh sign.
Good morning, GN!
Glad business is good, Fatwa. Suppose to get another storm in tomorrow night.
Hi, Sven!
Sorting-out roof leaks is largely a grind, as it’s a lot of frantic chasing about at rather low margins.
But it “resells” us to existing clients or can provide the proverbial “foot in the door” with new ones.
Maaaaaan…ya just can’t play this kind of music with a shofar or non-Hammond organ:
Pretty cool. My friend Anarchobanker is studying the Bass these days. He would enjoy this, I’m thinking.
