I’m finding it a bit difficult to research all the parameters, but it looks to be something wherein you can manage your own data with multiple redundancy, and/or mirror it with an offsite, even free, cloud account.
Glad you were able to “grab some shuteye” / “pile up some Zs”. 😉

Heeee:
Here’s the employee line this morning outside the Virginia General Assembly after Dems voted to ban firearms, forcing everyone to go through metal detectors. It’s well over an hour, if not 2. pic.twitter.com/sc5593pfbN
Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and dv8!
I’m betting on Max.
dv8 -- glad you were able to get some sleep. Please pass on my thanks to Harper for her lovely addition to the MO.
Fatwa -- here’s hoping that carp turns into mounds of filthy lucre.
I’ve been able to recover the most important documents, but many others, such as the slide show I created for my mom’s memorial service are nowhere to be found. My email is as if it never existed. I can’t find any trace of any of the folders or subfolders for Thunderbird, let alone the mailboxes.
When I was in California I was using an email service from the cable company. It worked OK but when I was looking at moving I realized I would lose my emails. This is why I went to Gmail. I did not know much about this stuff, still don’t. I don’t like the lack of privacy but it has worked OK for me. I tried to transfer my emails from the other service but it was only partially successful. I was sad as I lost some of my priceless (to me) emails with Gerbils. I still go back and read what I have from 2007 and beyond. I really miss the early Wheel pages that were lost. Very sad.
Happy Max teh Biblio-Kitteh Monday, Wheelizens.
Hope that Paddy was able to recover his files and that dv8 was able to sleep.
It’s another exciting week of JimCo admin carp here in Happy Larryville! (And three days of local thunderstorms, too; woo!)
Mood for Monday:
Fatwa: I’m sorry the “ruffing” business (as some of us pronounce it in Arizona) can be so annoying; but I’m glad it is also financially rewarding.
Thank you, yes I did sleep fine. I didn’t drink the caffeinated brown liquid. Ima go out to day and restock my caffeine free brown liquid.
Echo to Paddy: reverberating prayers for your lost data.
Okay the scaleable cloud solution is called NextCloud:

I am sorry for the lost memories, Paddy. You don’t use a server based email service that might have your emails on their server?
Most of my email is through my ISP and I don’t leave the messages on the server.
Ouch. Too bad.
Nite nite gerbils.
Good night, Sir. Sleep well.
Ugh. Sorry, Paddy.

I use Gmail but everything is copied to my hard drives as well as retained on the server, and what I have is backed up.
