Mrs. Paddy and Teh Younger finished their work yesterday and have today off to be tourists. Tomorrow they fly to Guam, spend a day there, then fly to Hawaii and on to home, arriving early Monday. It will be good to have them home.
I’d be much more concerned about Saipan. It’s a much smaller island (44.5 sq. mi. vs. 210 sq. mi) and both Mrs. Paddy and Teh Younger have been hanging out right at the edge. OTOH, Teh Younger will be stepping off the island for a couple of dives today, so that might help.
Seconding Paddy’s “heh!” re teh thread pic; nice one, Mac.
Fatwa — safe travels. At least the weather is nice.
Cheers. Was nice to have some “face time” with the facilities manager at the place in El Monte; we’ve been doing business with him -- and his eight manufacturing buildings -- for about twenty years. He’s a good lad.
Happy to see Mrs. Paddy and Teh Younger finished their good works and will have a chance to play tourist on their way home; safe travels to both of them.
Lots of admins carp today; really glad I bought this used Macbook Pro a few years ago. (Trying to do stuff on Jim’s not-well-maintained Windows desktop -- as I used to do -- was, erm, unpleasant. Plus, it’s good to own a backup computer “just in case”.)
I can deal with Windows for basic tasks (word processing, internet, etc.) if I absolutely have to.
But regardless of operating system, poorly-maintained computers are a PITA. (I think I actually know a teeny bit more about Windows than Jim ’cause I’ve picked a clue or two up from LambiePieK by osmosis…or something.)
We were up in Flagstaff for Medical Stuff today. I had to do a lot of naps to prepare for that so I didn’t go online at all after both work sessions. Just naps. I was ready to go in the late morning, but we were still a bit late getting to Harper’s appointment. My fault as I didn’t get a proper time estimate and was going on my memory--never a good idea.
Anyway, we are back safe and sound, and everything is fine. We had a nice trip but didn’t do anything extra apart from stopping at McDonald’s before heading back down.
Yeah, I guess that’s true. Good morning, GN!
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Mac -- heh!

I trust they will be careful not to get close to the edge and maybe tip Guam over. Shame if it capsized.
Glad things are going well.

That joke never gets old. Hi Mac!!!
Friday Greetin’s, Wheelizens!

BBL.
I hate using someone else’s computer. When we go to Elena’s father’s house I take my laptop and hijack the internet connection.
I have not used it here at home but now Elena is using it to learn the computer.

To good news for worthy Gerbils.
Thanks, Mac. We’ll see how things play out, but it is one less bit of stress to work through.
Geez, now that I think about it, that’s rather presumptuous of me.
I echo Mac’s sentiments. Less stress is a goodness, Sven.
Hi, Mac!
*Scha-nort!*
Bless Rep. Hank Johnson’s none-too-bright heart.
We are off on a double date with some old friends. Mrs Sven wants to see this old comic.
Have a good time, Sven! I’m sure between the raccoons and Jack Tatum, your place will be taken care of.
Re: teh thread pic:
Truer words have never been spoken. Why did I not see this?? I’m usually pretty good with patterns.
Belated Greetings Gerbil Nation!!

Listened to podcasts on the way up and down. http://www.dailywire.com, mostly.
Also, it was a very cheap drive thanks to teh new putt putt car.
I was always impressed by the Kia’s cruising ability. I used to get 30 plus mpg at 80 plus mph. It seemed stable and comfortable at those speeds too.
yeah, we got well over 40mpg on the trip.
Good to see you, Mac, Are you up for a while or just passing through?
I am puttering around doing backups and changing connections. I decided I had a bit too much at risk so I will tighten things up a bit.
Did something happen with auto-refresh? The site doesn’t seem to be doing it anymore.
I’m not sure. Things do reflect the workings of the Blue Glove Phantom.
