Just took advantage of the seniors / pregnant ladies one-hour window at Kohl’s to buy some much-needed new underwear and socks. (Last time I bought same was before the wedding, which was nearly ten years ago.)
Hol(e)y underwear, Batman…that stuff’s ridiculously expensive these days! And it’s not like I bought anything fancy. Ten pairs of Hanes white crew socks, ten pairs of their white ankle socks and (I think) eleven pairs of their underwear. (Store was completely out of stock on any briefs, except “tighty whiteys”, so we’ll see if boxers -- not the really baggy sort -- suit me.)
Criminy…even with buy one get one at 50% off on socks and boxers, a 15% discount and a store credit for nearly $20, the tab was still over $70.
Bah! I’m old and stuff costs too damned much. (I still remember when candy bars went from a nickel to a dime and Dad used the occasion to ‘splain me about inflation.)
Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, TeX!, and Mac!
Mac -- thanks for checking in. I’m glad to hear that everything went well and that Little Mouse is doing fine. Prayers for swift healing and successful rehab.
I still haven’t forgotten about the ongoing Car Dealership/Lawbaw story. I just am having trouble processing it. There are so many absurdist events in teh story.
I’m confused again. I thought unions were always good and something that all workers should belong to, but turning on the MSM today, they all seem to be going after the police unions demanding they be abolished.
Check it out. I like the feature of who is nearby. (you don’t have to disclose that, of course, if you don’t want to, but it’s kinda neato if you do. You earn crypto for doing stuff on the site.
It has a good feel to it. I really like it so far.
Humpy Hap Day, Wheelizens!
Good thoughts from CasaK for Elena and Mac.
BBIAB.
Happy Wednesday, GN -- good morning, Fatwa.

Really curious, so when you have time.
perhaps if I just begin at the beginning…. I’m hungry now tho. So I think I’m going to eat something.
I’m still streaming. But not saying much.
Checking out Slug as per my other post. Maybe some of you will join me there if you feel like it.
Alt-tech is the way to go these days.
I’m confused again. I thought unions were always good and something that all workers should belong to, but turning on the MSM today, they all seem to be going after the police unions demanding they be abolished.
I love it when Marxists and their dupes eat themselves.
So this looks pretty good:
My problem with Minds.com is that it’s more of a publishing platform than a social media thing. Not really a replacement for facebook.
So slug.com is a much closer match for something like Facebook.
This is a free speech alt-tech platform
I just joined a bit ago, so far, i really like it.
