I’d be happy if it just grew a few more feet in length. That would vastly improve it’s bass voice.
What if it turns into a 9′ concert grand and bursts through an exterior wall like some malevolent Fazoli version of The Kool-Aid Man?
I remember having a wick for my string bass for the same reason; winter in teh Great Lakes region was a little tough on it. (Ditto other strings and woodwinds… )
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
I completed about 3 hours of my 6.5 hours of yearly, mandatory training yesterday. They’ve included a lot more “diversity” and “unconscious bias” training this time around. In the past you could fast-forward some, so long as it wasn’t too much -- maybe cutting the time by 1/3rd. Not this year. I tried that on the first module only to be told at the end that fast-forwarding wasn’t allowed and I’d have to start from the very beginning. Apparently it’s not enough that I can pass the test, I have to let the course play out in real-time, as well. Good thing nobody said how loud it has to be!
That sucks you’re not permitted to fast forward through the (presumably) pure-T bullshit “training”. Wonder if the software uses any camera in your computer to see if you’re actually sitting there watching that garbage?
The camera light wasn’t on, and if they turned on the camera without the notification light they could be in big trouble as regards privacy. I was able to drop the volume and work on other tasks, then answer the checkpoint questions and final assessments.
This is why everyone good leaves the profession. And why teachers seems to suck so often. Everyone good leaves, Marxist shills, remain.
I’ve been saying for about 20 years, that all sufficiently large corporations are essentially Marxist in structure.
If you can find a large corporation with a personnel department and not a “human resources” department, you’ve probably got one of the few sane ones left. If not, you’re better off finding an alternative to that kind of big corporate environment.
If you don’t, you’re part of the problem. I’m not pointing fingers here, exactly, sometimes we have to do what we have to do. I understand that. But just know, if you capitulate to that kind of brainwashing stuff, then you ARE supporting it, and contributing to it.
Much like I was when I worked in tech.
I know that sounds harsh, but that’s what I think.
Happy Thursday, GN!
Ceiling raccoon? It begins…

BBL.
If my piano turned into a 12′ opera grand, even, it would be awesome!
One doesn’t position a piano around the decor/furniture, one designs around the piano.
This damned 5.5′ thing is already too big for our house. So if we ended up with a bigger piano, we’d just get rid of some furniture.
That is all.

Hi Sven! I hope things are well at the Mountain Redoubt.
