Hope that Harper and dv8’s optical outing was successful.
I got nothin’ else; had a restless night. (In large part as I’m not particularly looking forward to another long sojourn in SoCal, but whadda ya gonna do?)

Happy Monday-Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
It’s the first day of school and I’m sure the usual technical issues will crop up. Lot’s of paperwork to do.
The weather is certainly weird this morning. We’ve got low clouds, it’s cool, with 94% humidity. The winds are starting to pick up and it’s dark. It sure doesn’t feel like the start of another set of Santa Ana winds.
Was thinking back to the good old days prior to 9/11 when bin Laden declared war on America and no one paid any attention to it, or if they did it was to laugh at his presumption. We didn’t take his words seriously until that September morning 19 years ago.
I think we are in a similar situation today in regards to antifa/blm. They are clearly telling us that they want to destroy America and remake it in their own image, but the media and our leaders mostly ignore it or pretend that it’s just “mostly peaceful” protests in support of a worthy cause.
What bin Laden accomplished on 9/11 was brilliant. What antifa/blm are doing now, agree or disagree with them, is also brilliant -- they have had close to year’s run of war games and tactical exercises in a variety of environments and have learned from their mistakes and improved their strategies and tactics. I see them now as a bigger threat than al-qaeda.
Whatever happens in November, these groups are not going away.
““Me and three of my buddies were in Portland this weekend, got attacked by Antifa. There’s a Twitter video with millions of views on it. They ended up on Hannity and Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro etc., of us getting beaten with bats and rocks the size of cantaloupes thrown at us, getting spit on etc. We were all carrying pistols as well. Opportunity, ability and jeopardy, we were in a deadly force situation and we could easily articulate the use of deadly force, but they had pepper sprayed us. They were using industrial strobe lights on us, etc. We couldn’t PID our target and what lied beyond it, They did a great job of taking our situational awareness away, it was fucking incredible.”
A year’s worth of on the job revolutionary/overthrow training is what these mayors and governors have given these assholes.
Still waiting on the winds. Picked up loose stuff around the house, but it’s been more or less cool and calm all day. A good 40 degrees cooler than Saturday.
Happy Literally A Cat Burglar Tuesday, GN!

I thought you and Miss Brenda were through remodeling? Nice lamps.
I said that to Miss Brenda and got slapped.

Same here, Paddy -- cloudy and high humidity. Maybe the Santa Anas have been cancelled?

Not unless some serious, long-term action is taken against them.
Which might happen under Trump and AG Barr, but won’t at all under Biden. I was reading this post: https://www.americanpartisan.org/2020/09/antifa-reality-check/

Wow. Just. wow.

Same here. I’d be perfectly fine without the Santa Ana’s and high temps.
