Pearl Harbor Day should live in infamy. While I believe it ultimately changed our world for the better, the cost in American lives and treasure was mighty damned high.
Although I bow to no person in re my loathing of FDR, it’s a damned good thing he didn’t roll over at such a critical juncture.
Good morning, Fatwa -- happy Monday, GN! The power company called to let us know that we have 1-4 hours before it’s back to candles again. I put off prep work yesterday, best get to it now.
SoCal is officially under a mandatory lockdown as Newsom established a new metric, hospital ICU capacity less than 85%, which most of California reached over the weekend. It will last at least three weeks. Yeah, us.
Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Criminy, Sven…what a clusterfark.
Too bad CA didn’t spend some of that money they pissed away on the high-speed train to nowhere to update the electrical grid.
But high speed rail will save the planet, so that got priority. I also think that having reliable electrical power is an example of privilege.
