Fatwa: thanks for the link -- with all the different court cases, allegations, and kraken hype, I wasn’t clear on whether Texas was just another, as some pundits call it, Hail Mary pass, or legit. The beauty of the AT piece is that it clearly lays out the case and circumstances -- nice job. Reads reasonable to me, and even if it goes nowhere and we continue speeding towards the abyss, thank you Texas for taking the shot.
Good news/bad news. My hair started turning gray 30 years ago at the same time I blew out three disks in lower back. Maybe 10 years ago, it switched from gray to white. This morning though after showering, I was heartened to find a single long black hair growing like a symbol of hope. Unfortunately, it was growing out of my ear.
SCOTUS decides to dump the Texas lawsuit, claiming a “lack of standing”. Justices Alito and Thomas said the court does “not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction. I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue.”
This is bad. If the roles were reversed and it was the leftist states filing this complaint and SCOTUS turned it down, the streets would already be filled and cities would be burning. The left is good at that -- getting outraged people into the streets; the right, not so much.
I think there is going to be an Oklahoma City type of response and probably more than one. And the govt crackdown that will come will escalate things further. 2020 may have just been the warmup act for for 2021
Happy Hedgehog Latte Friday, Wheelizens!
Here’s (I think) a pretty good summary of Texas’ election lawsuit:

I am very, shall we say, disheartened by Georgia’s prominent place in this clusterfark.

Good morning, Fatwa -- happy Friday, GN!

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Waiter! There’s a hedgehog in my coffee!
Yes, sir, the porcupine wouldn’t fit.

LOL
Hi, Sven and Paddy!
Testify!
With me, it’s usually nose hairs. (And it’s not like there’s a dearth of room in my proboscis for those suckers.)
It never fails; I could have used my “personal grooming device” yesterday, and today, there’s one that’s 5″ long.
And don’t get me started on my eyebrows…
Bah!
Oh well…at least I don’t have to manscape.
Starting to look like Andy Rooney?
Stunning hypocrisy but served with a double helping of stupidity and virtue signaling --

Sheesh.
I hope the manufacturer who got the Innovex order derives a significant benefit (beyond an order of custom stuff).
North Face is asshoe.

It was a nice Republic while we had it.
