Friends were coming over for dessert tonight, but the husband got a call notifying him that a cow-worker tested positive for the Chinese Communist Lung Rot. We’ll make a dessert delivery tomorrow -- no need for all of this goodness to stay in this household.
Meanwhile, the prime rib is resting, the Yorkshire pudding is about to go into the oven, and the creamed corn is ready for its final touches under the broiler.
Well, GN, we had one old friend over for dinner. Work went smoothly last night. I even had a co-worker come in and help me with my mass mailing. That was an awesome Christmas present! Because… I could do my sorting and allocating while he was working on that, and only had to bundle, bag, and/or crate the stacks as they were finished. The papers were 4 hours early (by design) so I got done with everything at around 2am.
Once I got home though, I ended up staying up till dawn. I then put my turkey roast into the Sous Vide and went to sleep.
Than at dinner tonight I took the roast out and put it under the broiler for a few minutes. A vast improvement. Other than that, I pretty much made the same things as I made during thanksgiving. Harper suggested a few things to add to the stuffing. That was also very tasty..
I want to go to sleep early now. I think that sounds like a great idea.
