I think I find myself up a bit early/late. Hope I can get a nap before the Big Route.
I have a sneaking feeling that there will be changes at my job soon. I think one other driver is going to switch to a better job soon. He just gave me a heads up last week, and told me he’s closer to leaving last night. It’s a good gig, he should totally take it. I just won’t be able to take up the slack because so many of the things he does over lap with mine, so I don’t know what the boss will do. We really need to replace him with 2 separate part timers just to make sure we have coverage if someone is sick.
Harper went with me on wednesday, by the way. It was fun. When we got home, I did some of that cursed plumbing. Both valves under the bathroom sink are holding. so I’m guessing the plumber’s putty did the trick. So far, no leaks after over 24 hours.
I’ve just noticed I haven’t been streaming again. Funny how it gets away from me.
On another note, I guess it’s time to fix the toilet. also. Keeps running and as I mentioned, it’s more than the flapper this time. The ring fixture--whatever it’s called that that flapper sits against--needs replacing. It might have a tiny crack in it where a bit of water is seeping through. Changing the flapper a couple of times, and sanding the ring a bit both have made no difference.
Still lovin’ the new fridge. It’s big and works great. I still need the above the range microwave replaced. I think I want to buy the good one from Costco. But that means I’ll have to install it myself. So… another rabbit hole there, potentially.
I’m kind of wanting to buy one that includes professional installation. I know that would cost more, but at least it might get done right the first time??! who knows though. Nobody seems to know how to do his job these days.
We really are living in Part II of Atlas Shrugged--possibly Part III at this point.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8!
Good luck on the Big Route, dv8. And good luck with the replacement hire(s).
We had two over-the-range microwave ovens over a period of about 25 years. They were a pain in the butt to install. Each one had a different mounting bracket, requiring different holes. They really require two people to lift into place. They’re a pain to connect to the exhaust ducting, and they’re more expensive. I’m really glad we ditched ours when it died and went with a small, counter-top model. Of course that was only because when we renovated the kitchen we added more counter space and included a niche for the microwave in the plans. Prior to that, we couldn’t sacrifice the counter space.
Good flying-cars-are-21-years-late-and-counting morning Gerbils.
Or should I say Happy Flying Car Thursday!?!?!?

Good morning Dv8 and Paddy -- Sounds like you got a lot on your plate, Dv8.
Heard from my friend in Houston -- got power back on today. Hope everyone else impacted by this is doing OK.
Ok, it’s silly, but you got to watch battlebots.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
