Hope you had a pleasant time wine-tasting yesterday.

Cool pic of Tatum.
Had a nice time seeing MamaK along with a rare (for us) restaurant meal. The schlep was mostly okay, except for getting caught in several miles of lane-restricted travel on the perpetually-under-construction I-75. (Kinda like I-5 in O.C. OTOH, GA-DOT seems to do a reasonable job expanding capacity to keep pace with demand compared with other places I’ve lived.)
We’ve been having a relatively large number of shootings on local interstates since the beginning of 2021; I’m sure that restricting 2A rights will fix that up pronto. 👿
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
We had a great time yesterday. It was good to get to know a little bit more about Teh Older’s SO.
Man, I really hate this time change nonsense! It was way too dark when the alarm clock went off this morning, and dinner is going to be late tonight, because, based on the light, we won’t realize how late it is.
I’m making a batch of split pea soup with the ham bone left over from Christmas. The weather is perfect for that sort of meal. Teh Younger and I are the only ones who like it, so there will be plenty of leftovers for lunch.
Happy Flying Rat Pair-Bonding Sunday, GN!

“When guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns.”
What a sad state of affairs when Bill Maher is the voice of reality.
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!

Back from running the Church Zoom meeting. And home for a nap. We stayed up way too late yesterday.
Nap well, Dv8.
Another backyard visitor. Not the best picture, but a bobcat, maybe 20 pounds or so.
I hope Jack Tatum doesn’t try to take that bobcat on.
I wonder if that is why Jack Tatum has been a house cat lately?
Either that or he’s remembered how much he really loves us…yeah, more likely that, him being a cat and all.

If I could pick one phrase to remove from public discourse it would be “Diversity is our strength.”
“In these unprecedented times… diversity is our strength.”
I wonder if the Cuomo scandals, both his groping and his killings, can be categorized as “worse than Watergate”?
Not a chance -- he’s a Dem after all.
Today marks the 32nd anniversary of Ed Abbey’s death and the 33rd anniversary of me and Mrs Sven starting work at the same company.
A momentous day.
