Sure was lovely to see all the kids -- and puppehs -- yesterday. Their new house is rather nicer than we expected and seems very appropriate for their current needs / plans.
It’s also not a schlep to get there (20-25 minute drive), which is nice for LambiePieK and me.
FTR made a lovely brunch -- and a lot of it. Including a fruit salad, which is usually not my thing…but this one had a lime and honey dressing which I quite enjoyed.
Plus, I was so stuffed all I ate for dinner was a light snack.
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and dv8 (and Harper!)!
Fatwa -- I’m glad that you had a good time with the kids and puppehs. Sounds like they’re in a good place.
Choir is back at my church and Teh Older and I will finally be singing again! A few hours after church we have a memorial service that we’ll also be singing at. John was a huge supporter of our music program, so it is a privilege to be able to give back. Hawaiian shirts and flip-flops are what the choir will be wearing in his honor. After the memorial service I’m meeting with my MiL, sister-in-law, and Mrs. Paddy to discuss a phone call I had with one of Mrs. Paddy’s uncles yesterday. It’s about issues with the family business, so it won’t be fun. All in all it’s going to be a long day.
He and “I’ve never been to Europe either” are such cosmic f**kups that the payback that pushed Trump into office in 2016 may shrink in comparison. Maybe there’s hope for the country yet…if they don’t kill us all first.
Howdy-hi there, Gerbilinos!
The “family meeting” went well, but there was a lot of history that had to be unpacked. We have a plan for moving forward, and Mrs. Paddy’s cousin, who has been the property manager, is going to be forced to go on an unpaid leave of absence to get her physical and mental health in order while we put in place processes and procedures that should have been put in place over a decade ago. There are rough seas on the horizon, but we have a plan of attack and are not just waiting to get capsized.
“Paint A Happy Little Kit” Sunday greetin’s, GN!

Y’all be good!
Good morning Fatwa, Dv8, and Paddy -- and thank you, Mac, for another wonderful thread pic -- don’t know how you do it.
Was watching Biden’s press conference. The only word to describe him is feeble. In mind as well as body.
Hi, dv8 (and Harper!!1!), Paddy and Sven!
I truly lucked-out re FTR. (Feel bad that her bio-dad is a schmuck, ‘tho; she deserves better.)
Paddy --
Teh yay that choir’s back.
Teh hiss re “issues with the family business”; hope that goes better than you seem to expect.
Sven --
Saw a couple of clips of Uncle Choo-Choo in Europe; criminy! I’m almost wistful for the Carter years. 👿

You think Trump will really run for house (speaker?)
No, but I think he likes to keep those options dangling out there just to mess with people.
