Dogs may just be the happiest creatures on Earth -- they made a good choice years ago to become domesticated. Unlike cats that, although “domesticated”, have never really embraced the idea and remain aloof and mostly insufferable.
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation and a happy Father’s Day!
Good morning, Sven!
Sven -- sorry you weren’t able to reach an agreement on a replacement truck, but glad it’s not a “must have” situation. Glad to hear that My Pillow lives up to its hype. That’s too uncommon these days.
We had a good time in Temecula -- shed a few tears and remarked on wines that Cindi would have liked. It’s still too raw to get too deep into memories in a public place.
When it comes to wedding gifts, I hear a blender is always appropriate. No need to thank me.
Yesterday, I got up the nerve to call a friend that’s been working on his house (that he and his wife just bought) so he can move into it. So I brought him some dinner so they wouldn’t have to cook.
I texted him saying that I’d bring them lunch (and asking if they had already had lunch, and he said they had.) I had in mind something to bring them though, like pizza dough with toppings. But then I thought to ask him if their oven was working. Well lucky I did, because it wasn’t working.
So I decided I’d just get a big tub of mini croissants and a bunch of different meats and cheese, and a few condiments just in case they didn’t have any.
In truth, I probably brought them enough for several meals.
He and I talked about lots of stuff while I watched him install some of his new flooring. It was coming out very nicely. The whole place is coming along well.
It’s a unique place that kind of cascades down a hill in various steps, including several layers on the back porch. One of those unique Sedona kind of places that started out a long time ago as a small house with a very oversized lot, and evolved into what it is now.
It also has a huge workshop which seems to be designed for working on an RV.
Anyway… I DID get out of the house. So that’s good.
Not being snarky, but perhaps just call someone on the phone and have a conversation?
I second this “old skool” suggestion.

Good on you for getting out of the house and doing something nice for your friends. (SackO’SugarK would probably drool over that workshop even more than I would.)
Happy Sunday and happy Father’s Day!

You know what is actually a good product that lives up to its hype? Lindell’s My Pillows pillows. Quite pleased with it.

Oh, and good morning!
Happy Father’s Day, Wheelizens!
Dogs are a goodness.

If you want to know how the overly rich and overly entitled live, here’s a glimpse of the problems they are currently experiencing: https://nypost.com/2021/06/19/table-seekers-offer-big-bribes-to-get-into-hamptons-restaurants/?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark
I don’t actually begrudge them their bazillions, I just don’t like the attitude that often comes with it.
