That’s a visual representation of what my friend in Cottonwood does in his daily life. You would not believe the string of consequences he has racked up over the course of his life.
I’m always a bit stressed on Monday. At least lately
Is my schedule flipped around the right way?
Or, will I be able to get a long enough nap before work begins.
Am I going to end up doing the Big Route while I’m too sleepy.
etc. etc. etc.
Mainly though, it’s been mostly okay lately. Even though my schedule is all wonky, I still seem to be managing enough rest so that I’m not jonesing for sleep all night at work.
I keep telling myself to get a better job, or more high paying, or less weird hours, but there really are things about this job that I like. I actually like the quiet of it,
I’m mostly alone all night, but
on Tuesday and Thursday I see the home carriers,
and one of them even folds her papers in the warehouse,
so I have someone to talk to when I take a break.
I can listen to loud music or loud talk all night long on my Bluetooth speaker
I can understand the appeal of several aspects of your job; especially “…basically nobody cares what I do.” I’ve had a couple of gigs where that was largely true and appreciated it.
Fortunately, even while I was still living in L.A., JimCo was largely like that as we have an unusual work / personal relationship. (Never expected I’d still be a part of the company after nearly 28 years, but Jim’s a good lad.)

Huh…bear-poking ain’t on today’s schedule. Plus, I’m not on FB. (But I do occasionally indulge on Twitter. I blame my poor upbringing…) 😉
Saw some of the Ngo video of goons in Portland yesterday; rather appalling -- but unsurprising -- the local yoonyunized, immunized, badged, costumed “king’s men” did nothing more than blip their siren.
I think there are some legit comparisons between the hilariously misnamed “Antifa” and Mr. Hilter’s* [sic] thugs. I can only hope that at some point, decent Americans somewhere will decide it’s time to end that shit in the strongest possible terms.
I know they’re going to regulate crypto soon. I’m not sure what that will do to the market. If there exists an underground crypto, it will go to the moon after that. LIke if Monero stays private, but you will only be able to hold it offline. They’re won’t be any public exchanges for it.
I hate that too. It was one of the nice things about having my own shop, not having to wade into the job market. At least as long as the customers lasted. Sandisk grew until the work I supported got moved off shore or out of state. That was why I closed my shop.
yup. the deck is stacked against them. Remember the proud boys. one of their first claims to fame was to defend against leftist physical violence. Because they do not operate in the shadows like antifa, it hasn’t been working out that well for them, I think.
We had dinner last night with our liberal friends. Although politics comprised only 25% of the conversation, those discussions were, hmmmmm, intense.
It highlighted that, at least between us, leftists and conservatives are seeing quite different aspects of an issue, mostly based on which part of the interturbes we frequent. It also showed that there’s no common ground on which to agree.

Also, I really like making bulleted lists….
Oh, joy…it’s Monday!

Sometimes violence is the answer.

Addendum(b) --
Was glad to see that some photos and videos of Barky’s Big 60th Birfday Bash showing the absence of masks got posted online.
Ditto some of the anti-mask / lockdown protests across the planet. (Which the corporate media doesn’t seem to find newsworthy.)
It increasingly appears this COVID business is the greatest scam in all of human history.
As the late Backhoe used to say, “Tar, feathers, tumbrels, gibbets.”
It’s time, IMO.
Seems like past time.
Here’s remembering Mr. and Mrs. Backhoe.

Governments ruin everything.
Happy Bear-Poking Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), and Fatwa!
dv8 -- quiet can be a wonderfulness.
Fatwa -- I’m honestly surprised that more people haven’t returned Antifa’s violence with even more violence.
I think that’s the main reason I keep this job. That and I hate job hunting.
I hate that too. It was one of the nice things about having my own shop, not having to wade into the job market. At least as long as the customers lasted. Sandisk grew until the work I supported got moved off shore or out of state. That was why I closed my shop.

So it goes.
Monday NIght at work passes without incident.
So that’s a thing.
Good night everyone.
